Imperial Adamas Beach Resort, Phuket  

Food was a bit disappointing. I ordered an entree of chicken one evening that was hot on the outside and stone cold on the inside - staff were very apologetic though. I then ordered a hard-boiled egg the next morning for breakfast. Not only was it not hard boiled, it was barely even cooked. The entire egg was runny. I tried the pancakes at breakfast each morning and every time they were cold and hard! There seems to be an issue with the "cooking" of their food! Breakfast options were good however and the coffee was great. Pool service was average - there were never any towels available for an early morning swim (i.e. 8am, which really isn't that early). I spent most of my time by the pool each day and only once or twice did anyone come and ask if I wanted a drink or something to eat. I have stayed at 3 other resorts in phuket over the years and as an example, whenever you go to the pool area you are greeted by a staff member with a towel and a cold face washer and bottle of water - now that is service. At Adamas I found the service (although friendly) to be reactive, rather than proactive. Positives: Fitness Centre was great. Also, I had a late flight on the last day and they gave me a 6pm checkout for no additional fee, which I thought was fantastic. Overall, I think the hotel just lacks the finishing touches in a few areas. But I still enjoyed my stay.
