Surprised that the hotel lobby looks pretty...
Surprised that the hotel lobby looks pretty good and clean. Room was huge with a king-sized bed which we were very happy about. Bathroom was abit small, no bathtub, and water wasn't too hot on the first night. Subsequent nights were fine. Sheets were clean but there were some stains, which I could look past. Breakfast was edible but somedays we didn't mind missing it and eating out. Pool was quite good, alot of greenery and decor around the pool area. Many deck chairs to chill out if the beach is too crowded. A little noisy though, especially in the early morning when we were still sleeping. It's abit far off from the mall and Bangla Road, walk to the beach is around 5mins, which is ok.

Superior rooms are budget as expected, road...
Superior rooms are budget as expected, road noise can be a problem. But rooms are great value for money. Stay in the Deluxe rooms or higher and traveller will be very pleased. Staff were fantastic, very friendly, we stayed for 14 days and during that time with a group of 14 staying in the Hotel had not one issue with this property or its staff. Last year stayed at a more expensive property accross the road and didnt find the properties that much different for a quarter the price the Baumanburi was better value by far.

Be careful to use the complimentary water...
Be careful to use the complimentary water rather than the bottles in the fridge. They are extremely expensive. Swimming pool is excellent. Very good breakfast. 5 minutes walk to the beach.

room very nice spacious...bellboy great courteous all other staff great with exception of young female restaurant staff who gave the impression that they were being disturbed from chatting in order to provide customer service. good breakfast selection. very plased overall.

having read reviews, i was bit skeptical....
having read reviews, i was bit skeptical. initial the bathroom had a damp smell, probably not used for some time. but after that it was cleaned every day and so were the beds done up every day. the service was fantastic and very friendly staff. the pool was great and so was the breakfast buffet daily. it is a great location, not far from beach, or shopping or bangla road. there were many cheap stalls for shopping, many mini bars in the alleyways and some cheap food kiosks. though not right at beach front, i prefer it being in a little quiter area. overall i had a great holiday and would love to go to phuket again. this hotel could uplift its services to truly provide a five star environment if it wants to.

This room are fine but there are...
This room are fine but there are too many ants in the bathroom and the mini bar. I request to have a clean pillow beacuse it is very SMELLY ( there are 3 pillows in the room but all are the same ), but no one care about it and I have to put a towel on top the pillow. This is the worse during my stay in Phuket. I've been visit to Bangkok so many time with my family but this is the first time I met this problems. May I suggest the room services should look into this problems. My Room no. is 3308. Thank you.

We got a good deal from asiarooms,...
We got a good deal from asiarooms, paid only like SGD 40 instead of SGD 120 per nite. So its worth it.. Overall, its a nice hotel to spend your holidays..

There are few areas that need improvement. 1....
There are few areas that need improvement. 1. The instruction on the free mineral water per day is not clear/misleading. We ended up paying for 350baht for 5 bottle 500ml mineral water due to the information displayed on the mini bar. 2. The hotel should put curtain to separate the bath tub so that the whole bathroom's floor is not wet after bath. 3. The lobby area should have mosquito repellent, so that guest can sit there at night. Other than the above, we are satisfied with the service provided by the hotel, such as the swimming pool and front desk/bell boy/tour arrangement service. It is also the 1st time I found that the room have umbrella for our usage, which is useful in a couple of occasions as it rains when we are going out.

Before I stayed at the Baumanburi I...
Before I stayed at the Baumanburi I read quite a few reviews, some with definite negative points, particularly about the staff. After 11 days I can now say this is one of the most outstanding hotels I have ever stayed at anywhere in the world,all facilities and location first class and the staff are the icing on the cake,, nothing a bother to them, always smiling and keen to have a chat, overall A++++, especially reception staff Dave and Yollada. Some friends were staying at another hotel but after visiting us have decided their next stay will be at the Baumanburi, and we can't wait to get back there.And, YES, there are lifts to both old and newer sections of the hotel.
