The Baumanburi is a great low-cost hotel,...
The Baumanburi is a great low-cost hotel, one street back from the beach in Patong. There are markets right next door (Otop) and it is in easy walking distance to the beach. There's a tourism office downstairs where you can get internet access and book trips ranging from visits to Phi Phi to elephant trecks. Breakfast is both Asian and European. Complimentary water in rooms, just over 50 tv channels from all over the world, balconies in every room. There's construction going on at the moment, but I hardly noticed it. This hotel is not as flash as others - it's basic living, but the price is so good, if you plan on doing things rather than sitting round in your room then the Baumanburi is a good choice.

The room may be spaciuos but then...
The room may be spaciuos but then the place now could be quite noisy coz of construction going on at the back of the hotel. Other than that, everything should be good.

The hotel pool is for sure the...
The hotel pool is for sure the best asset. But the room was also fantastic. Some of the rooms have directly access to the pool, so I would request of one those if I were you. There were 2 things that were a bit annoying unfortunately: The hotel is expanding at the moment (Jun 07), so there was an unpleasant noise during most of the day (8am to 8pm). At this time of the year there were plenty of mosquitos in the breakfast area...so get your repelents out otherwise...

Stay away from this Hotel,very noisy at...
Stay away from this Hotel,very noisy at night and is under construction for the next 6 months they start at 10AM and stop 10PM.Staff was very rude.A good pool does'nt make for a good hotel.My 2 rooms were small in need of repair and had ants every where.This is not a 4 star Hotel 2 star at most.You have been warned stay away.Low season rate of 26US is about what it's worth,but they want 96US high season would be way to much.Also if you have any guest and I mean any they will charge you and extra 500baht per visit.Very poor policy.BAD HOTEL.

Please advise all single travellers that if...
Please advise all single travellers that if you stay at this Hotel and you want a friend to visit you will have to pay a 500baht fee for every visit. Also the customer service manger at the front desk is rude. But the new Manger of the Hotel is a great guy and is very fair,if you have a problem call him. The location is very far from the beach and the night life. Bill USA

Location is about 500metres from the happening...
Location is about 500metres from the happening Bangla road,which is just opposite Holiday Inn and end of the Patong beach stretch. Need to get across two main streets to get to beach,which is about 15mins walk. Nice pool and land scape. Good spread of breakfast. Value for money anyway.

Great hotel. Only downfall is the noise...
Great hotel. Only downfall is the noise in the rooms near the street. However management were very accomodating and changed our room after we complained of noise on the first night. The staff were very friendly and approachable and willing to help with all our inquiries during the course of our stay.

I booked and stayed at the hotel...
I booked and stayed at the hotel for 3 nights in the standard room. When I first arrived at the hotel, I was relieved that the place is clean and neat. But the bell boys were inexperienced and inattentive to our needs. I had some problem checking in to the hotel and it was made more difficult when the staff behind the front desk could not understand me. Breakfast in the hotel was scrumptious and there was a lot of variety to choose from. However, they did not serve soup (e.g. mushroom or chicken soup). Once, I had to download some pictures into my laptop and did not bring my cable. The staff at the business centre was kind to lend me her cable. Although there was construction beside the pool, dust and debris was well contain and confined. Overall, I am please with my stay at the hotel. I do hope they put someone more experienced behind the front desk.
