i kept on searching on what hotel...
i kept on searching on what hotel which best suits my budget with the certain qualifications i listed, i found this hotel the best value hotel for us.. the entire 6 days that i spent in the hotel was good. though my husband was not able to enjoy the entire 6 days of our stay there because he had to leave on the 4th day, but still he had commented that so far this was the best hotel i ever booked for.. haha.. we chose a pool access room and it was so easy for us to go on swimming with the water very refreshing right next to our door steps. with the room given to us, we experienced "privacy". our room was big, nice toilet with separate bath with tub, LCD screen television and rooms service was excellent. the location was good, though i need to walk a few steps to reach jungceylon shopping mall but it was fun walking along with other tourists.. outside the hotel have lots of bargain stores where we can go shopping.. i only have 1 comment,, front desk personnel/incharge were not that friendsly, except for 1 guy there and a girl at night shift who was very pleasant to me.. too bad i forgot to ask their names! but to some it up, our stay was great!

We stayed in a Pool Access Rooms...
We stayed in a Pool Access Rooms with two other couples and we loved it. We were able to jump into the pool when ever we felt like it without having to robe up and catch a lift down to the pool. It is also like having your own pool bar. The room was more than adequate with just a couple of minor faults. Firstly the lighting is not that good if you like to read at night and secondly the bathroom has a window with a cane screen that allows one to be seen inside. Perhaps this could be replaced with a curtain that can be drawn. The breakfast was good and the staff were friendly and helpful. (Most of the other guests appear to have left their manners at home though as we witnessed a lot of rudeness towards the staff. A please or thank you never goes astray even if it is in your own language.) The hotel location is perfect for Patong with the markets next door and a short walk to the beach. There is a 7/11 out front and to the right of the hotel that sells cheap beer and other little luxuries and there is nice little cafe out front and to the left that has great coffee and free wifi. If I go back to Phuket I will definitely be staying at the Baumanburi again, but only in the Pool Access Rooms.

Overall, the hotel was great. The location is not right in the center of the noisy area but it is close enough to the beach, bangla rd, and all of shopping areas. Hopefully, you won't have to deal with the staff too much while you are there. They are a little on the rude and phony side AND they overbooked the hotel so my bf and I had to settle for a room we didn't request. However, I think the overbooking issue is a common problem in Thailand, so be careful. The vacation was still awesome and so was the room. Oh, the breakfast is included and it's pretty decent.

Location is okay, not too close to...
Location is okay, not too close to the centre though. But easy access for (bargain)shopping and entertainment. Stayed in Grand Deluxe for two nites. Two beds (one double and one single) + day bed. Enough for 2 adults and 2 kids. Buffet breakfast is good. Pool is fine. Rates are reasonable. But staff are not quite friendly.

THE BEST HOTEL EVER! Went with a...
THE BEST HOTEL EVER! Went with a group of 5 friends and had the best holiday. On New Years Eve the hotel sent invitiations to all guests to come down for a buffet dinner in the evening and it was an awesome night with the best food! The hotel is approximately 5-10 mins walk to the beach. We stayed in the cheapest rooms - they were quite big - huge actually. Very clean and lovely to stay in. We did not have any problem with noise. The description of the hotel says the standard rooms are located in a seperate building - you can hardly tell as the buildings are about 1 metre apart. Also all rooms have access to lifts. The best pool - with massage chairs and bringes with waterfalls to swim under! Breakfast was good. Seven Eleven is a 30 second walk - convenient when on holiday! The staff were quite helpful. I would definately recommend this hotel!

A very good hotel that seems better...
A very good hotel that seems better than its 3* rating. Great service from all the employees, always willing to help. Great pool facilities for the children and adults alike. The location is OK with a 5 minute walk to the beach and a ten minute walk to Bangala road which seems to be the main nightspot in Patong. I would reccomend the hotel and Patong for a holiday as it is pretty much middle of the road within reach of the other islands and beaches (that are better than Patong, Patong beach is OK but other islands we visited the beaches were just about perfect, reccomend a trip to Koh Nok)and in its favor also has some moderate nightlife.

My wife and I had a very pleasant and comfortable stay in this hotel.The hotel staff are very polite and helpful.Its location is perfect.It is very close to the beach,shopping and restaurants.It is definitely value for money.The hotel has also tour agencies located at its premises which makes it convenient to book the various tours.We enjoyed our stay in Phuket and this hotel was definitely one good raeson for our pleasant holiday.

A lift had been added to the...
A lift had been added to the Superior room block which I was staying. Asked the bellboy and he mentioned it was added 2 years ago. The Superior room was much bigger than what I imagined. I had requested for lower level room as I read in previous review that there was no lift at all. They had allocated the highest(4 floor) to me instead. But I find it a relief with the lift and so 4th floor room was not an issue. In fact, it may have kept me further away from the noise of the traffic as the block was next to a road. The staff at the check counter are not eloquent in English but overall communication can be established. The service was good and I be expected to visit this hotel again.

Stayed there in Oct for 4 nights....
Stayed there in Oct for 4 nights. Happy with the hotel with the rate I got from asiarooms.com. Location is perfect, within walking distance to all the Phuket happenings-beach, shopping, food, massage, famous streets. Facilities are adequate with nice swimming pool,jacuzzi,sauna and nice gym. Breakfast is delicious and adequate variety but sometimes the waitress clear the plates/cups too fast. Stayed in superior room that is on another wing on top of shop lots, worried us prior to arrival but found ok as the rooms have its own lift/stairs (not passing through the shop lot) which are just 10-15 steps from lobby and anyway, those shops look clean and tidy unlike the rooms-on-top-of-shops impression of Bangkok's Khaosan Rd area. However, lobby receptionist need to have basic info about Phuket (like bus station loc., taxi charges, etc) on their fingertips (readiness). Overall, value for money and impressed. Will stay again and hope to try the hotel's serious thai massage.
