This hotel was just what we needed after a long day of travelling. The staff were so friendly and after asking for a queen bed on a high floor we were given a king bed on the fifteenth floor - heaven! Absolutely amazing breakfast, and a nice gym too.
Thank-you asia rooms for a lovely stay.
The hotel is well managed and excellent for the value of money.
Many Thai people can speak a bit English, but just a bit and very limited. The lady who gave us reception, however, can speak fluent English. In the dialogue, I understand she is a university graduate. Hopefully Thailand has more well educated people to support the tourism.
Its a very good hotel, great the breakfast buffet. The room very clean the staff friendly and nice. Before i stay royal phuket city hotel about four time.I like...........................
i stayed at royal city for six days and was very pleased with the spacious room, bed and bathroom and multi channell t.v. the staff were very helpful, the buffet breakfast was enough for the biggest appetite, cornflakes or noodles, it's all there. the coffee shop cappucino 154, adjoining the hotel is great for coffee, pastries and sandwiches.
book through www.asiarooms as it is cheaper.
i would stay again.
Hotel was ok but quite cleary a conference hotel used for Business functions etc. Not really sutiable for the Budget traveller. The lobby is spacious and grand with a choice of restaurants. Rooms are big and basic, but had a business feel to them. Not very personal. The Bathrooms were in need updating. The pool was green and unusable when we were there becasue of a broken pump. Not Ideal. The restaurant on the top floor has good panoramic views of Phuket and the food was excellent. Gym was good too. Phuket Town is a real dump and I would definitely not stay in the town again. It's real only useful for the 5 min drive to the ferry terminal for those wanting to go to Phi Phi.
the hotel room is normal and the room is spacious. we went there during vegetarian festival. is just go out from the hotel and walk straight down, you can watch the vegetarian festival in the morning. from the hotel about 15 mins walk is the town market. just at the back of the hotel, two role of new shops selling clothes, etc. the hotel provide free shuttle bus to a new supermarket 'central'. the breakfast was very good. worth it.
perfect hotel if you need somewhere cheap to stay for a night or two before travelling to Krabi or one of the islands as its only 5 mins from the pier. It probably was a four star hotel 15 years ago and could do with a lick of paint here and there but was very clean and i would stay here again.
The hotel was nice overall, and i was upgraded to a delux room at no extra charge. Accomadated a late check for me as well. Only drawback with service is the staff didnt speak english always had to find the one staff member who knew a little English. If I had to stay in Phuket Town would definetly stay there again.
Hotel lobby is about that of a 4-star hotel. However the room is definitely only a 3-star. Would not stay here again. I might try the Metropole hotel nearby the next time. Their lobby has character.
