Having just returned from two weeks at...
Having just returned from two weeks at the Dusit Laguna, we have already started to make plans to return next year. We found the hotel excellent and the friendliness and professionalism of the staff with the best we've ever experienced. From the moment you arrive you realise you are somewhere special and nothing is too much trouble.
The rooms are a comfortable size, clean and well maintained. On-site eating was excellent although the Italian and Beach restaurants were about to re-open when we left and therefore didn't get the opportunity to sample either. The breakfast buffet was extensive and the hotel has a beautiful patio area where we ate breakfast everyday. Coming from Scotland, the experience of eating breakfast outside is a rare treat for us.
The lasting impression for us will be the friendliness of all the staff who exceeded our expectations and they were totally focused in ensuring we had a superb relaxing vacation. A great deal of credit goes to the management for maintaining this high standard.
Activities from Jet Ski-ing to Elephant rides are on the door step or you can lie by the pool all day before strolling down to the Canal Village for a bit of shopping. The hotel ran 3 buses a day into Patong if you want to get into some serious bargaining.
If you want to be pampered and chill out in wonderful surroundings then this is the hotel for you. We'll certainly be going back.

Despite not having a king-sized bed as per my confirmed booking on the first night due to unavailability of rooms, reception staff managed to change us to the right requirements the next day, but not without our persistence. Overall, my family & I had an enjoyable stay. Great Thai hospitality as ever and good to see that the physical facilities are 80% back to normal at Dusit Laguna.

This is a nice hotel for families, small or large. It is part of the Laguna area which consists of other hotels as well. Rooms are spacious and the hotel is stretched over large area. We are a big family, stayed for 10 nights in 3 rooms. The whole atmosphere is good and there is a sense of security and relaxation. The children wonder around the hotel facilities with ease. Pool is large and there is a large one for the children too. Food however is not that great and you may find your self limited by what it offers. We were planning to stay at the nearby Sheraton and after visiting it we were glad we didn’t stay there. The Dusit seemed much better. The hotel has its own private beach. The hotel is secluded and is away from the beach activity down in the south at Patong. After consuming our tours we left the hotel and went to Patong beach for two extra nights. In short, The Dusit Hotel is a lovely place to stay in especially for families and I recommend it.

We had a great time in the Dusit Laguna. The weather was great and the room with laguna view was realy beautifull. The free boatservice to the other hotels and the golf course was just like Disney, and felt super!

Stayed at the Dusit in Laguna area...
Stayed at the Dusit in Laguna area july 2005. Phuket was absolutely empty. Patong beach was like a ghost town. However, the resort did have a few people, and after looking at many resorts on the island, aside from Evason, Mom Tri's and JW Marriot, Dusit was the nicest. The grounds, laying right against the beach, were immaculate and beautifully laid out, with a nice pool, although the jacuzzi wasn't hot. There were hammocks strung from trees, leafy areas abounding, and a feeling of well being. The rooms were nice, nothing special, but nice, clean with nice amenities. The breakfast was very good, and the other restaurants for other meals, especially the dinner buffet, was very good and reasonably priced. Compared to the other resorts in the Laguna area, Dusit in my opinion rates the highest, though the Allamanda next door has a much nicer pool. The Sheraton is way too noisy and very plain. I would recommend the Dusit for a family vacation. It is far from the night life areas, about 30 minutes, but for a family it is perfect. For a romantic getaway, definitely the JW Marriot, Evason or Mam Tri's.

A very nice hotel in a superb location. I found the staff not to be so accommodating as in Bangkok but in general they were pretty good. Good hotel for children with plenty of activities. Very disappointed in the restaurants. If you stay for more than a couple of nights I feel you would have to eat in the other hotels around the resort. Unless you want a cooked breakfast then I felt the breakfast choice was very poor.

Dusit Laguna was a fantastic hotel. We stayed at the hotel for 5 days. The hotel s’ location us excellent for from tourist spot but close to the ocean and nature. The Room was great spacious, clean and decorated classy. The Ocean panoramic view was impressed and fabulous. The Ruen Thai Restaurant was the famous delicious place that we would recommend. You would be amazed with the price if book with voyagenow., it was a great deal. I planed with my family to stay here for 10 days next times, nowhere can beat.
