Beautiful location, fabulous beach, plentiful sail boats, windsurfers etc., great service with charming staff, delicious and very reasonable catering, excellent housekeeping. Best place to stay at Laguna!

This hotel came highly recommendedl however the service was very poor. The drain in the tub was clogged and we called four times, never to have anyone come to fix it in our five day stay. The bathrooms are older and the molding in the tub and counters was cracked. In terms of the resort facilities, it is a beautiful resort with everything you might need to have a lovely stay. The Italian restaurant was fantastic. The private beach is lovely, as is the pool. However, dealing with the staff was very difficult for us as they spoke limited English - if we needed anything more complicated than yes or no, we knew our needs would not be understood. Renovated rooms and a more helpful staff would have made our stay perfect.
The Dusit was lovely. Last time we were at Laguna we stayed at the Shereton and the Dusit was even better. The reception is fully airconditioned, breakfast is served next to a water fall feature over looking the pool and the garden and flowers are simply stunning. There is a lot of atmopshere at the hotel and you can choose to eat at the 5 star restaurants or cheap it with the local restaurants on the beach only minutes walking distance. You also have lots of facilities at your door step, being able to use the other 5 star hotel's facilities in the laguna area and little stalls on the beach which you can purchase drinks cheaply. The canal village shopping area which is a 2 minute walk and has a supermarket. The room was clean and I thoroughly recommend the beach view dulux as you are only meters from the beach. The beach is beautiful, clean and water is warm. The pools are clean and there is ample of kiddies pools and activities such as aqua aerobics, fitness classes and activities. Staff are very friendly and helpful and much better than other hotels we have stayed at in Patong. It is a real 'holiday' escape and we will definately be back to the Dusit.
The resort was lovely especially for a relaxing long weekend. Their Thai and Italian restaurants were also excellent and I would definitely recomend them.

overall a fairly good one, situated in quiet surrounding, right by the sea (unfortunately sealice in there)
The stay was out of this world, this has been my second stay at the Dusit Laguna and I would recommend it to anyone.
Any person who faults this hotel and surroundings really has a problem, the people are friendly and will do anything for you.

We like the location and ease of access via bus or ferry to the other hotels, staff are very friendly and helpful.
However, the hotel lacked evening entertainment and the bar and restaurant prices are much too high.
Therefore we spent most of our evenings elsewhere to get better value and entertainment.
Our room was clean and comfortable but the bathroom was a little "tired" with discolouration of the grouting around the tiles.
All in all I would still stay here again but prefer the facilites and pool of the Laguna Beach Hotel.
We have always found the Dusit properties in Thailand excellent, and particularly the service by all staff who are always very friendly and make you feel really special.
