Nice big hotel with 2 huge swimming...
Nice big hotel with 2 huge swimming pools. A wading pool and a water - slide ideal for kids.
We had 2 adjoining room which was perfect for our 3 kids. Karon Beach is about 50m down the road and restaurants, tours agents, minimarts, internet, car hire all within 50m from the hotel.
Breakfast was good and staff was friendly.
If they had a kids' club or activities for children, it would have been perfect for family with small children.

We stayed at the Orchid Resort in November 2004 with family. As our first holiday abroad together we could not not have stayed in a more perfect place, sadly we were only there for 4 days, they were however the best 4 days of our entire holiday!! In our opinion Phuket is the closest we have come to paradise. the people are so friendly and welcoming they make you feel so much at home, the food is fantastic aswell!!! We are planning to come back to the hotel for our honeymoon, after our stay last year we can't imagine a more perfect setting than the Phuket Orchid Resort. We have already reccomended it to everyone we know and would not hesitate in going back. Thank you Phuket for being so fantastic!!!!!!!!

We stayed at the end of low season, there was a little building work but the hotel was really quite empty and quiet. The rate we received offered great value for money and the staff were helpful and attentive. I would reccomend this hotel to anybody wanting to be near the relatively quiet beaches of Karon and Kata but who still want a pool and modern hotel facilities.

We are quite pleased with the room the hotel has reserved for us. We had a beautiful view on the nice long swimming pool with the statue in the middle of the pool (under is a pool bar), along with the trees everywhere and mountains in the background. The staff are very helpful although sometimes they have difficulty to understand English. I think it worths the money, especially considering the price in the low season (started from May 1st). The location is pretty good. The beach is a few minutes' walking distance and there are shops and restaurants very close by.
I think it's a nice hotel for family with children or people wish to have relatively quiet time in a nice beach. Patong is too crowded and noisy for us. I will definitely recommend to a friend. The only disappointment is the breakfast buffet. It offered no cereals and yogurt, and the quality was not great.

Phuket Orchid Resort is a very new resort hotel, a small part of which is still under construction. My friend I stayed one night by booked with the Asiarooms.com, and we found this was quite excellent rate. The swimming pool in the middle yard is so big and of interesting shape, so that, from some of 1st floor rooms, you can jump in it. Buffet style breakfast is good and well varied. Karon Beach is about 2 minitue walk from the hotel, but in July, wind blow too hard to swim.

Hotel is right across Karon beach. Clean, huge pools and decent breakfast. Street is under renovation when we were there, might be better to stay in >6 months.
