i believe the Katathani resort is a great place to relax and re-charge the batteries. the staff are very friendly and always happy to help. It is great returne for what the cost is Would go back no questions asked.

My wife and I stayed in Kata...
My wife and I stayed in Kata Thani for 4 nights in June 08. We booked a deluxe room but got upgraded to a junior suite in the Thani wing. There was a problem with the shower head when we arrived but as soon as we told the front desk, it was repaired by the time we got back to the room. Breakfast was good. The beach was just spectacular. The service overall was very good. My wife absolutely loved the spa (i did not go)

Good large hotel with lots of facilities...
Good large hotel with lots of facilities and on a beautiful beach. Nice rooms and friendly staff. Hotel is just outside of the main resort area, but still within walking distance even though it is up hill.

I visited Kata Thani in May 2008,...
I visited Kata Thani in May 2008, I was a little hesitant after reading some reviews on Asia Rooms and Trip advisor. To all those who had bad reports about this hotel must need to get their eye's checked out, cause it was amazing, right on the beach too, hard to find a great hotel in Phuket on the beach. We stayed in a Grand Suite, the room was pretty big, great bathroom and clean, we were on the 3rd floor in room 1304, had great views of the ocean and hotel grounds and pools. Breakfast was good too, cant complain. I recommened this hotel to anyone who wants a piece of paradise, I will be back for sure.

The service was amazing, always warm, always...
The service was amazing, always warm, always friendly and efficient. We got married here and the staff far exceeded our expectations. The location is amazing. We're not usually fans of a large hotel like this but our stay was really comfortable and pleasurable and our wedding looked AMAZING. And the food was fantastic! Try the Fisherman's Wharf.

Beautiful location and the hotel facilities are...
Beautiful location and the hotel facilities are great. Room was a little musty at 1st. We had a pleasant stay at the Kata Thani and would stay here again. Hoptel staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. Only thing we can fault is that the room was not always kept as clean as it could have been.

we stayed at the kata thani as...
we stayed at the kata thani as we were attending a wedding. however we used this opportunity to visit other nearby places such as patong and koh lanta. we have also visited phuket in 2006 and samui in 2002. the kata thani resort is the best hotel i have stayed in in thailand and my wife and i thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. i would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to my friends. i was a little stressed before my holiday here and now i have returned to work more relaxed and more positive about the challenges i face. i had a fantastic holiday thank yopu to all the staff who work at the kata thani resort bryan o'meara

We had a lovely time at this...
We had a lovely time at this hotel. All the pools were fantastic and so clean, and so was the beach. The staff were very helpful and frendly. Breakfast was included in the price and overall the choice for breakfast was fantastic and very good. I would definately stay again in this resort. The only gripe was the vat tax and surcharge put on the hotel restaurants. Found it very high so we ended up eating out at the local restaurants which do not have those taxes. Food at these places was so good and cheap. We hired a scouter to get around and found the locals on the road very slow and aware of you. Great place as this was our first time. Cannot say enought about the place.
