The hotel is in a beautiful setting, just on the edge of Patong - far enough to get away from the commercialism of Patong but near enough to dip into it when you want to. The hotel is very impressive with fantastic open style restaurants, reception and bar areas. The pool areas are very nice and there is a beauticul jetty (with sun beds and bar) about 5 to 10 minutes walk away - if you want it a little quieter.
The rooms are average and the bathrooms a little on the small side - although everything is clean and nicely furnished. The main advantages of the rooms are that all overlook to sea and have balconys and fantastic views. If you want to stay in or near Patong, I would definately recommed this hotel.

We stayed in amari for new year 06. It was fantastic!We absolutely loved it!Everything was perfect. The food was top class. We would recommend it very highly and would love to stay again. Staff are very friendly.

This was our second holiday in Patong,...
This was our second holiday in Patong, Phuket and our first stay at the Amari and it was a delight. Certainly not the cheapest hotel but still great value. The Amari lets you sample Patong town (and see it from across the bay) while keeping a civilised distance from the crowds and noise.
The standard of our room was outstanding - layout, furnishing, balcony, lightness, cleanliness etc. and the view of the bay and Patong wonderful. And the staff were efficient, helpful and above all, charming. We were made to feel genuinely welcome by everyone from housekeeping and security to senior management - out and about meeting and talking to guests. We tried all the restaurants and they were good. We also hired a car in the lobby and had the option of eating out - in Kata for instance. We tried the spa and swam off the Jetty and can recommend both.
Any downsides? The air conditioning in our room was a bit noisy and the Amari is not suitable for older people who have problems with stairs (reaching the lobby from some of the rooms needs a bit of stamina) but otherwise... can't think of anything. Would I recommend it - definitely.

Fabulous hotel, stunning location wonderful staff, marvellous food and beautiful modern rooms. Can't praise it enough and would most certainly hope to go back and definitely recommend. It is an outstanding hotel in the Amari chain - which are all fantastic.

The resort and staff were excellent. I have stayed in many resorts in Phuket, but Amari Coral is one of the best. The resort has been recently remodeled, and very nice. The resort is right on the beach, the staff is very polite and helpful, and it is within walking distance of Patong Beach. I highly recommend Amari Coral Beach Resort!

It was really a nice experience to stay at Amari Coral Beach Hotel with my family. The staff there is courteous. The hotel is at a walking distance from the shopping area of Patong Beach.
