Had the best time in phuket thanks to the horizon beach resort. Excellent service great rooms and everything was just perfect would defintaley recomend and would stay again 4 sure. Great value to and breakfast.

overall we had a lovely holiday, the only thing we were suprised at was the lack of space around the pools, had the hotel been full we may of had problems trying to get a sunbed by the pool, but we used the beech on busy days as the location of the hotel was perfect. Overall the hotel is perfectly placed for, shops, beech, bars, and resturants. Would recomend this hotel for couples, families, seniors would be best to request a ground floor room, but as only two stories not a major problem for them. We will return to the hotel next time we are planning a holiday in Phuket.

good hotel in a very central location;good restaurant;2 swiming pools; rooms very ok but we need to pay more if we want a room at the 1st floor with some view, because all the other rooms are in the ground floor and some are in the way to the other wing and quite dark ;front office staff is so-so.
in fact the question is the atmosphere of patong beach in phuket ;this station is becoming decadent, with agressive local people, all is overpriced, and the beach is a bin
Was given an upgrade which was great...
Was given an upgrade which was great but realised why because the room's aircon was blowing hot air. Noticed only 1 hr after check in as we were perspiring. Reported it but nothing was done. On the 2nd night at 12am, couldn't take it anymore so went down to reception to demand a change and was given. Had to endure for two nights without aircon. Not hap cos nothing was done to attend to our needs after reporting it.
I stayed at the Horizon Beach resort...
I stayed at the Horizon Beach resort from the 14th to 17th Feb 2007 and i must say that this hotel exceeded our expectation. i had an early flight and reached the hotel around 1030am, though check-in time was 2pm, the hotel staff allowed us an earlier then usual check-in (i guess there was room available and they were flexible) they also upgraded our room from a standard room to a deluxe room.
Our room was at the ground floor just outside the swimming pool, but it was pretty quiet (not noisy as i expected), the room size was big and bathroom was nice and roomy as well with bathtub, though we didnt have much of a view, it was alright, the second floor and third floor room have a balcony attached and so i guess you could have a little more privacy.
Location wise, Horizon was great as it was very near the beach, and once out of the lobby, ou are right smack in the middle of patong beach with shops everywhere, restaurants, bars etc. Horizon is just next to the holiday Inn and getting a Tuk-tuk or cab would be very easy.
Breakfast was good as there was quite a good variety, room service was occasionally slow but i guess I could live with it (just need to chase up sometimes on your request). Only grouse for this hotel is that even though there are 2 swimming pools, both pools are very small.
Overal i rate this hotel very good value for money considering the location, size of room, breakfast and would definately consider staying here again for my next trip to Phuket.

The hotel is in a perfect location, close to the beach and shopping area. The staff are polite, especially the security guard who always helped us with the luggages and stopped the cars to help us crossing the street. I would reccommed this hotel to everyone!
The Hotel is in prime location in...
The Hotel is in prime location in Patong. 20secs walk to the beach. The hotel staff were loverly all the time and the service was amazing. The hotel has 2 very nice pools but they were often full of loud obnoxious children. this place would be perfect for families or anyone wanting a middle class hotel in prime location. The rooms were nice and we were upgraded to the presidential suite for free. however the suite was of a standard i would have expected a normal room to be. the rooms are very large and spacious, with 2 showers (in the one bathroom).
