Sheer delight!. One night only, but a superb last night to complete our holiday. Relaxing pool where everyone instantly felt relaxed and playful, the water slightly chlorinated and light to swim in. Our superior room in Zone A of the royal wing faced the pool glancing through a few plams, and although the front door was adjacent to the outside bars, the Queens holiday meant all was blissfully quiet that night. Zone B, deluxe rooms are a little further round with the noise barricaded out by partitioned glass panels on the outside walkway. Jung Ceylon shopping centre is a mere stroll down the road, with a quiet food court that serves some very tasty herbed duck wonton soup. Breakfast in the hotel was of the usual 3-4 star standard, hotel staff very obliging, offering a free shower in the massage room upon checkout for late night departures, mind you this was the low season. Reception staff appeared quite competent as witnessed when 6 buses of Thai tourists arrived to celebrate their long weekend for the Queens holiday. Night market a mere pathway away and for gays it's right there on your doorstep. A lovely hotel that offered discounted off season rates.
