Beautiful Hotel
This is the second time I have stayed at Seaview Patong, and it was again simply delight to be there. We had a Deluxe Pool Access room, and it was worth every penny of the upgrade, to be able to step off our balcony into the pool. Fantastic room, great position in the quieter part of Patong, and across from the beach, and wonderful staff...what more could you ask for?

Some small complaints but otherwise good
First the niggles: the rubber bathmat in room 228 was mouldy and needs replacing and the chromium sink tap area (not easy to clean) needs a good cleaning. My king-size bed request was fulfilled by pushing two single beds together. Indeed 228 is a designated twin room and shouldn't be used for double bed bookings. Having said that, the maids couldn't have been more friendly and caring. Overall, the Seaview is beginning to show its age: I can only speak for 228, but the wooden floor needs sanding and revarnishing. Paint & plaster is, in some places, coming off the walls around the Seaview and needs maintenance. I have stayed at the Seaview before and would stay again but with some reservations. In particular, I think it has reduced in comparative value for money even when booking through a bulk agency with discount. And why - at these prices - wi-fi to the room is not free is ridiculous. In my opinion, the management has to address this most urgently. To be charged 100 baht for one hour or 300 baht for one day is extortionate. $10AUD per day is $70AUD a week which in turn is $3500AUD+ per year!!! An amount which only top management at the Seaview could possibly earn...Come on Seaview, waken up! Now for the best aspects: The food is superb - particularly for dinner which I found to be as good as I have ever had anywhere in the world. The breakfast buffet is excellent. The friendliness and willingness of the entire staff is the Seaview's strongest point. Particular mention should refer to the room maids who are without peer regardless of my particular cleaning 'niggles'... . Location is superb: at the end of Patong Beach and quiet and close to the Ocean View Bar which is staffed by the friendliest, most gregarious and most fun bar girls -perhaps because they are mainly from Isaan province and I love Isaan people! As I do all Thais! I shall be back later this year and I hope the Seaview pays attention to my remarks.

Excellent Hotel
LOvely hotel, excellent staff. In a quiet location, probably the best location on patong beach front. Beautiful beach, pity about Patong itself though, which is awfull and we won't be returning. You can't walk out of the hotel without hassle.

A nice hotel and good value in...
A nice hotel and good value in low season when we were there.. though probabably not so much in high season. Location at quiet southern end of Patong beach has its plusses and minuses...a stiff 15 mins walk to and from Bangla Rd and the gaudy nightlife if that's where you want to be... but nice to be far from it if you don't. I didn't. Room was upgraded on arrival to a Junior Suite, very spacious. But on this level the view, which should have been gorgeous of the whole of the bay, was obscured by ugly ropes of electric cables. But staff were helpful and offered to change the room. Breakfast fine, pools smallish but nice. But with the sea just over the road, who cares? Phuket tip: dive sites not great and it takes too long to get out to them. Don't bother.

What a great budget minded place to...
What a great budget minded place to holiday. Very close to the town centre ( 10 min walk), but far enough away to miss the noise and traffic. Right on the beach, magnificent views. The staff are more than helpful, always polite and courteous. The food was first class, as well as all amenities. One small point, although the room was cleaned and maintained very well, the general maintenance was a little left to be desired, e.g. front door consistently scraping the tiles , no plug in the basin. Overall, well worth a stay there.

A very nice stay. Quiet end of Patong but still close enough to walk to the busy parts for both shopping, dining and bars etc. Close to the beach, nice pools and a great breakfast. The only disappointment was that we had to wait for our room to be made up when we arrived in the afternoon. Other than that, the place can't be faulted. Particularly good for couples or families that prefer a more quiet location. Enjoy.

We were well treated and it was nice to be welcomed back.A lot of staff changes had been made since my last visit which being only six months previously makes me wonder why. A lack of continuity is not good

Not bad, not too bad at all. I was impressed. Only thing, the queen bed was two singles alongside each other. Apart from that, not a complaint.

Seaview Patong was a great location, right...
Seaview Patong was a great location, right in front of Patong beach strip right at the end so it was close enough to walk to Bangla Road and the surrounding areas and markets around there (15 minute walk) But not in the hussle and bussle of the tourist attractions and crowds, as the hotel was the last hotel and the strip you heard none of the night life going on but could be part of it in a 15 min walk or 2 min Tuk Tuk ride. Great for familys with children as the beach was right in front of you with typical tourist attractions such as jet ski's, banana boats and shops/markets. The hotel was clean and the maids come in everyday and chang your bedding unless u say not too. The breakfast was lovely and your eggs cooked in front the way you like in front of you and the evening meal was the best Thai we tried in Phuket. The staff were lovely and friendly, but be aware that the hotel is very expensive at the tourist desk for trips/tours and shows, better to barter with the stall sellng on the markets to get that. But overall I would definatly recommend Seaview to familys with children and friends.
