The hotel is OK, both its location (if one insists on visiting Patong beach, personally I do not understand why), and the service it offers.
The room, in general was clean and inviting, though we have asked to replace the sheets, it took some time till the housekeeping did that

Excellent place to stay with a short walk to the beach and walking street. The pool is great if you want to get away from the crowded beach of Patong.
Thara Patong has everything to offer for both couples and travellers.
The only downside is the expence of the laundry services. But other than that I will definetly be returning. Thanks for the stay!!

Stayed in Dec 07 , excellent rooms and facilities, staff very freindly and welcoming, only 5 minutes walk to the nightlife / Beach. would definately stay there in future.

Hotel was in a nice location - close to the beach, shopping, bars and restaurants. American breakfast was included, which was not that bad. There are three restaurants at the hotel which was convenient.
The room was nice and clean but the furniture was a bit old and dated. There was two medium size pools in the hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful.

My hubby and I was staying at this hotel just for 1day. This Hotel is very nice and confortable place for Couples & Romantics. The Location was very good, just a few mintues walk will reach the night market & the beach.
But the hotel resturant food was really suck, we choose to take outside food or the shopping mall resturant.

Having been to Phuket many times, however, this is my 1st stay at Thara Patong,and I must say it has been really a wonderful experience.
Location is perfect, 3min to the beach, and you can find nice restaurants, local food, beer bars, disco all within walking distance, even the latest shopping arcade Junceylon can be reached in 5-10min. It isn't necessary to take the taxi to Simon Carbaret, ( I paid 150bht) as you can take a slow walk and enjoy the shopping along the way and you will be there.
Hotel service is great, staff nice and friendly, although its abit slow when requesting for room make-up. Breakfast is alrite, but you might find it abit boring if you stay for more than 2 nites.
Thara Patong would definitely be one of my preferred hotels if I go back again. Highly recommended for any traveller!

This hotel has an excellent location. It takes less than 3 minutes to walk to the beach, and there're many restaurants/shops around. Staffs are polite and helpful, rooms are clean and silent, facilities are good. It's really an ideal hotel for me. I'll come again in the next time.
