We stated at the hotel for 5...

We stated at the hotel for 5 nights. We had two triple rooms with interconnecting doors. We thought the hotel was great value. We paid £77.00 per night for two adults and four children. The staff were really helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The beach was lovely, the children really enjoyed the coral reef that appeared at low tide - plenty of fish to look at and feed. The hotel beach pool is small but was never too crowed and provided welcome shade from the mid day sun. The hotel provided a free shuttle bus to the nearby sister hotel which was great - a change of scenary only 5 mins away. The breakfast provided a good choice for all tastes. The beach bar had a good menu with very reasonably priced food and beer!! Overall we loved the hotel and would love to go back - it has an old world charm that is rare to find now a days. Thank you to Asia rooms aswell for their great prices!!

Cape Panwa is beautiful! We went for our honeymoon and were pleasantly surprised. We had a jaccuzi suite which was lovely. The hotel rooms are a bit old in parts but still really good. If you want a relaxing, peaceful stay then Cape Panwa is the way to go. The free shuttle into the little town was so handy and there are some cute little restaurants to eat at. Not the place to go for shopping though is reasonably close to phuket town which has great nightmarkets on the weekend. The pool is not the best pool I have seen but the gardens and beach area are so nice we spent all our time down there. Only downfall is the tide goes way out after lunch so you can only swim at the beach in morning. Overall, a lovely resort and highly reccommended!

nice facility in a private location but with several restaurants and offering enough activities to keep one busy. Next time I will choose a place closer to town however I enjoyed my stay.

Cape Panwa for us was a perfect...

Cape Panwa for us was a perfect start to our holiday. we wanted somewhere to unwind for a few days and this hotel certainly provided that.The rooms were comfortable and spacious and we had a great view of the sea.There was a great sofa style bed on the veranda which we used all the time when relaxing outside. The pools (one around the main hotel,the second in the gardens near the beach) made a nice change from the beach but the small beach provided somewhere to wander and stretch the legs.A tram is available to take you down to the beach front where there is both a beach bar and restaurant. The staff were most charming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We only ate breakfast in the hotel as this was included in our rate. it was more than adequate and provided a variety of choices for everyones tastes from continental to thai to english. the hotel is located in an isolated spot which was great for us as this met all our needs but if the guest has mobility problems then this may cause a few problems as the area is hilly.The hotel provides courtesy transport but this is like a truck rather than a bus,but it does provide you with transport to the little bay and plenty of laughs. there are several restaurants in the bay but we found sawasedee restaurant great value for money with plenty of both thai and western choices (this is the little bar exactly where the truck drops you off). we spent most of our late evenings around the lighthouse bar and made great use of the happy hour!and the live bands. overall we found this a lovely hotel and would certainly recommend this for future visitors.

This was my 5th or 6th visit...

This was my 5th or 6th visit since 1983 and still th good old Panwa Hotel. The thai food there is absolutely delicious and is as such worth the trip...Although oberbuilt now the place is still charming with a fantastic location over the sea and a private lovely beach.Definitely a must for honeymoner and lovers at reasonable price for what you get. Last but not least I share here a secret acquired from many past visits to Phuket, the weather there is much better than in any other part of the island!

This was our third stay at the...

This was our third stay at the Cape Panwa Hotel. We had a little trouble at check in.(We had requested a King bed but instead received two doubles)However, we were soon switched to a King room. The morning breakfast at the Cafe Andaman was very good. There was a lot of variety and the service of the staff was much improved from our visit a year earlier. The beach was excellent as was the staff.(Jennifer and Manong in particular)My wife and I also enjoyed a meal at the Panwa House. Their service was also excellent. The only trouble we had was that it rained the first three days of the six we stayed.(That's life!)The only negative I can say is that loud music from the Light House Pub filled our room until 12:30am each night. It was a "J" room. (Not a good location)Overall, we would certainly recommend this hotel and would return.

This hotel was absolutely good value for...

This hotel was absolutely good value for the money; about THB 2'400 per night but more luxury than the best western at Bangtao beach, where I paid more and got less. On the balcony was a lounge which was almost a bed, very cosy, I have never seen something like that on a balcony before. They have a free shuttle service to some places; by car a few minutes, but by foot too much effort for being on holiday. The breakfast was very rich, and over the sweet food they had a propeller in order to keep annoying animals away. Room was clean, cosy, safe, I would definitely stay at this hotel again (if I will go to the south of Phuket again). The only thing I was a little disappointed is they write every room has sea view. Well, very far behind some trees I could see the sea, but it's not what you expect from a sea view room. About 95% of the tourists were English, I felt a bit foreign but it was good to practice my English. The location....I think for Phuket it's one of the better ones. But anyway, for me nowhere in Phuket it is beautiful enough. Don't believe the pictures in the internet with the white sand on the beach. It's a fake!

everything was clean, fiendly and efficient. One problem was trying to get a swimming pool towel at 7am. It would be much better to issue a towel to each guest for beach/pool use rather than having to sign them in and out all the time.
