Nice hotel, No Hot Water and the pillows smelled like mildew and when I called to complain about the smell the hotel didnt understand and nothing was done.

An absolutely wonderful stay. The staff was incredibly accomodating and there was always at least one (usually more) of the staff who spoke excellent English. The location is perfect. Right across the road from the beach and equidistant from the bustling parts of Kata and Karon Beaches.
The hotel restaurant is also excellent. The service there was outstanding and the prices among the best around for the quality of food and presentation. I would definitely stay at Island View again. There is one small thing though. The telephone number provided by AsiaRooms/travel agent was not correct for Island View. I had to find it through their website.

It was okay except that there was massive renovation on the high rise side. So there was a lot of noise during the day.
Appreciate if you can indicate next time whether there will be any other renovations.
Other than that it was okay. Would have stayed longer if not for the renovation.
This is a perfect hotel to live...
This is a perfect hotel to live in when you ar looking for a relaxing vacation. The service is great, you can just stay by the swimmingpool and take your orders for everything, wet or dry. Trade in as many towels as you wish during the day with the maids. The climate is wonderful. I have stayed at theis otel two times, first with my housband and son, later alone with my housband.
I would recomend his hotel at the highest.
