main problems : 1. the room is a bit old & stuffy , and it's small 2. no free internet at all (not even available in lobby, which is usually the case in other hotels) 3. reception & service -- below expectation (not very friendly) with quite a few operational mistakes
Hotel is near to the beach. But hotel looks old and dull. Could have painted the building with cheery colors instead of a dull army green. Staff is alright, except for the guy who talks like a gangster when he demanded payment for our motorbike rent. The rent-a-bike is very convenient for hotel guests. Without transport, need to walk quite a distant to the town area. Housekeeping staff is good as they did a good cleaning job everyday.
What an experiance! it took my partner and i to adjust to the atmosphere and the hospitality though once we did, it was a plesant vacation at the hotel. Karon beach and patong beach are the top two places i recommend staying in phuket!!
We lived in a superior room at this hotel 5 days in end of April, 2010. Great location, excellent and different breakfasts, large and well equipped room. Great garden and territory. Of the minuses - there were many "package tourists" from Russia and there was no deposit box inside of the room. You can use the safe at reception desk (free of charge). Cheap and decent hotel. clean beach, quiet place (but all activities can be reached in minutes by foot), 3 pools, big restaurant, friendly staff, big rooms with balcony

Overall: perfect from the "valuie for money" point of view. Place is more quiet than Patong, beach is clean - all that tou need to relax with no addtional expences.
We had a pleasant stay, and will espesially say hello to the cleaning lady Toon, taht cleaned room 202, and says that she was very vey polite and professional and nice.
