This is our second time that we chose to stay at Serene (Dec 2005 for 3 weeks and Jan 2007 for 2 weeks.
We were very happy on the fist time but very much dissapointed on the second time. Room 617 too tired overall, very small wardrobe and TV stand cum fridge cabinet quite dangerously shook when trying to access the fridge. Location wise this is the farthest up the hill(closest to the H2O tank), part of duplex so we can hear normal conversation next door. The shower has a very weak water pressure, and the hot water was not available all the times. I have to get my own mosquito killer to get rid of all the mosquitos living in that room.

This is a ok hotel with a decent price, with a central location, just a few minutes walk from Kata beach. Rooms are ok, nothing special, a little worn out on the edges. Nice balconies. Facilities are quite nice, with two clean pools. Breakfast is mediocre, but well supplied. All in all a pleasant stay.

We stayed here from the 2nd of August until the 6 th of August 2006.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the hotel, the surroundings were beautiful with lush vegetation around the pools and between the rooms.
The rooms were beautiful and stylish. The breakfast buffet in the mornings was very delicious with an abundance of fresh fruit.
The staff were courteous and friendly. I would stay at this hotel again if I have the opportunity to visit Phuket and will definitely recommend it to family and friends.

Hotel staff were very friendly. Only problems that we encountered was at the reception. Their poor command of English made it hard for us to get the rooms that we wanted.

Breakfast is a bit of a bore.. but it's the same everywhere anyway.
In a nutshell, my group of friends and I (all honeymooners) enjoyed our stay at the hotel. I would definitely be back again!
Very nice clean hotel with nice pools...
Very nice clean hotel with nice pools and really good breakfast buffé. Rather expensive food but there are plenty of good restaurants in the neigbourhood. The road outside the hotel on the way to shopping had no pavements that was a bit scary with heavy traffic.

Serene Resort est un hotel tres confortable situe dans un jardin tropical bien amenage. La marche pour la plage n'est pas longue et on est pres de tout. L'hotel offre des facilites interessantes avec ses 2 piscines. Le petit dejeuner buffet offre un choix tres interessant. C'est un hotel où nous retournerions volontier.

Major difficulty is that no one in reception has a command of English so if minor things go wrong - you have a problem explaining.
Breakfast - adequate and simple.
Best to eat locally in the evening.
Rooms adequate size , clean, always hot running water and a/c worked.

The Serene resort was beautiful and the beach it was beside (Kata) was by far the nicest beach in Phuket. The staff at the Resort were very friendly, although were not very fluent in English (this didn't seem to pose a problem however). The housekeeping was immaculate, and the breakfast buffet also very good. This place is value for money and very pleasant. The pools were also very nice, and provided a haven from the busy beach.
I would definately recommend this resort, we had a great four nights!

We enjoyed our stay at the serene resort. We had no bad experiences and were very happy with the staff. The rooms were exactly what we wanted and the price was a good selling point. The only thing that stands out is that I broke a glass in the room and it wasn't removed from the room. I thought it should have been removed from the room to prevent injury.
We are extremely satisified and thank the staff of the Serene Hotel for a wonder stay.
