Sunset Beach Resort
We enjoyed our stay at the Sunset beach Resort.The room was very clean,toilet and shower excellent,television old and view over the Pool great.Breakfast was top class (Only 60-70 metres from the waves breaking on the beach) and Staff very friendly and helpful.The only drawback is the distance from the main Shopping and entertainment area.Its a good 15 minute walk.Their is a free covered Ute goes to the main centre every 1/2 hr but finishes at 9pm.Swimming pool excellent too

The junior suite was great with cooking facilities and tea and coffee. The room was very spacious and the deal we got through Asia Rooms was excellent.
The hotel is out of the way but a free shuttle every half hour made it ideal - away from the hustle & bustle but a free ride to get there if you want to.
I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Great place to stay...
We were upgraded for free on arrival and had on of the large suites that overlooks the pool and beach from the top floor. Definately get this room on the top floor as it gives the best view of the sunset and you over look the whole of Patong beach.
Its also slightly out of the centre of Patong which we found to be good, but still only a ten minute walk at night, so perfect for our needs.
The hotel has motorbike hire and so do many other places close by, with it easy to find one without needing to leave your passport.
And lastly but definatly not least the pool area is amazing with a swim up bar, and very tropical in feel, a great place to spend the hours of the day getting a tan or reading a book if this is your thing.

We had a great time, the massages were great and lying around the pool was very relaxing. The position is perfect if you want to be away from the kois of Patong Beach.

The Hotel had two sections of rooms, 10% were over reception some overlooking beach, the rest overlooking lane way. Majority were otherside of lane way all surrounding the pool.
Service at reception exceptional, very helpful.
Rooms were average, but kept clean and plenty big enough, but this is not a 5 star hotel, I would say a 3 star.
The pool area was very nice, but sometimes hard to get shade certain times of day, even though we had umbrellas.
The service at bar around pool, was not the best, very slow and you couldnt run a chit. Beers great price, but mixed drinks seem almost watered down not real strong, cocktails very nice all reasonably priced.
Beach out front of hotel not suitable for swimming as full of rocks, but only 5 mins walk further on and great for swimming.
Down the laneway from hotel there were several places to have laundry done very cheap. Also down laneway a man named Mr Sam who was very helpful when booking tours and very cheap.
The hotel had a shuttle bus to town every half hour that was great, if not there was Tuk Tuk outside costing 150 baht. Also there are taxi's out front which can be a little bit cheaper depending on where you want to go. Full day tour of island by Taxi is 1000 baht which would consist of 6 hrs touring!!
I walked every morning and it took half an hour to walk along roadway, on to beach then down end of Patong Beach, so hotel is not that far from centre of town.
I would recommend this hotel as a budget hotel, but would probably stay at a four star hotel next time( I have been to Patong 6 times and normally stay 4 star)

Hotel is very nice, although the building is a little bit old. Received exceptional service from bar staff.
Hotel is located a few kilometers out of Patong, but hotel runs a courtesy but into Patong every half hour from 9am-9pm

one of the best places to stay .all the staff were fantastic couldnt do enough for us . food was excellent and the prices were excellent. highley recomend the resort to any one .
The hotel was quite far from Patong...
The hotel was quite far from Patong Beach but thankfully there is a 'shuttle bus' (looks like a pickup truck to me) that leaves from the hotel to Patong every half an hour from 9am to 9pm. When checking in, don't take the seaside view room even if they offer it to you unless you don't mind getting your view blocked by a tree outside your balcony (which seems to apply to every seaside view room I saw) and the room is also located by the road so it can be quite noisy. Other than that, I'm pleased with the hospitality, the room was great, spacious and very clean. The international breakfast was pretty good. In the evening, they have a singer cum guitarist playing at the restaurant.

I was actually disappointed by all the feedbacks given online at this website,i was told that the bathroom is small,the furnitures are outdated.
but its totally the opposite!
the bathroom was perfect!the roomsize was great and there's even a balcony!i love the seaview!
would def. go back to that hotel!love it!
