The location of the hotel is fantastic....
The location of the hotel is fantastic. Kamala is a great for a quiet beach holiday. The food and service was in my opinon lower than what you expect in Thailand especiallay for cost per night.
Location of hotel is bad, there's nothing...
Location of hotel is bad, there's nothing nearby, far from Kamala beach (you need to take the shuttle bus). Free shuttle bus to Patong is always full, 2-3 days advance booking is required. A taxi ride will cost 300 baht per way. There's no pavement to walk along the road outside. Quite dangerous to drive at night, road/ street lights are limited.
Be prepared to walk up and down slopes around/ within the hotel. It's very dark at night as the hotel vicinity is not well lit. Pond tends to be flooded if there's heavy rain. Really need to watch your way when moving around at night.
Information like restaurant opening hours is not accurate, we waited another hour for lunch because the time indicated on the room booklet is incorrect. Breakfast is limited, food is almost the same every morning. As there's no other place to eat nearby, you will end up dining at the restaurant for lunch and dinner, at hotel rates that's not cheap.
I have booked a deluxe seaview room but can't really see the seaview as it is on low floor and there's another block in front. And to make things worse, there are 2 papaya trees right outside the balcony. The rooms looked rather small because of the platform. And the platform which is made of wood gives a 'dusty' feeling.
Conclusion is, unless you are looking for a hideaway whereby nobody will disturb your hoilday, if not I would suggest to stay at Patong beach. This place is more suitable for couples and families with grown ups.

Very nice hotel and quite glamorous in a Thai kind of style. The views and swimming pools were excellent but other resorts offer better beaches at your doorstep. The staff are a still inexperienced and don't make your stay quite as perfect as they could. If the beach is not important, can recommend as good value. Must be fit though, as the resort is on a very steep site with many stairs to some rooms.

beautiful resort! the staff were very friendly and helpful! every room has a gorgeous sea view! the pools beautiful too! very kind of the hotel to extend late check out to us as our flight out was really late.. only negative point was the transport out to Patong and anywhere else is pricy. but i guess thats the norm for every other exclusive resort on phuket. hope to go again sometime!!

we enjoy our stay in aquamarine resort hotel, the weather was pretty good and people in this hotel were very kind with all custumers.
the only negativ thing was the taxi service in this peaceful hotel, indeed the prices are too much expensiv : you must pay and thats all !!! they now you can't do without them !
to conclude I recommend this hotel but people must rent a car because of the location;
thanks to asiarooms for all, we will book again for our next holidays.

We had a really lovely stay at...
We had a really lovely stay at this resort,the rooms were beautiful and the bathroom had a tub big enough for two. Perfect for couples. However the resturant is slightly overpriced so eat elsewear. Also the hotel is very out of the way so you have to get a cab every where which is expensive. The beach nearby is not good for swimming so again you have to cab it to kata, karon or patong beach. other then that it was a lovely place to come back to.

Wow! Wish we had stayed longer. Well impressed with this hotel and have stayed in various hotels in various locations around Thailand but this had the WOW factor for us. Only minor draw back is that its a taxi ride to the nearest beach/shops but there is a free shuttle that runs frequently, so no big hassle. Close enough if you want to visit Patong beach too. Visited in the rainy season (May/June)but thankfully only saw one day of rain in two weeks and all the resorts were very quiet which is always a bonus.

We throughly enjoyed our stay at the Aquamrine Resort. The hotel as a whole was excellent value for money.
The location is perfect for people looking to stay in a quiet and beautiful location. However the hotel is within a short distance of Kamala and Patong should you want a lot more going on.
I would certainly recommend this hotel as an ideal place to stay on the Island of Phuket.
