Good service and the room was spacious...
Good service and the room was spacious and cozy. Like the ambience. Definately Value for money. The hotel is located at Karon beach which is not as crowded as Patong beach. More suitable for those who are looking for a quite and relax day out at the beach. If you are looking for sea sports and activity you would have to travel to Patong beach as all the pubs, shopping center are located there.

Well, the breakfast provided in the hotel was very great and many choice, room services are very very good and the staff are very nice. Also the room is not bad, but the swimming pool and gym room are small.
If you are not going to enjoy the hotel faclities, I would really recommand you choose this hotel!!
P.S Safety deposit box is not in your room, which in the lobby counter, it seeems safety don't worry.
The hotel was very nice and perfect...
The hotel was very nice and perfect for what we wanted - a relaxing holiday by the beach! The room was comfortable and nicely decorated. The bathroom was a bit dark but came with everything you need inc the usual toiletries. We had a spa deluxe room so had a jacuzzi on our balcony which was great but we didn't really use it enough to warrant paying the extra. The location is ideal if you're looking to spend your time relaxing, close to the great beach (less than 3 minutes walk), plenty of restaurants nearby to choose from in the evenings and away from the main road for a good night's sleep. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and spoke good English. The room service was also good value. Only complaint we had was the noise from the hotel PA system - our room was right by the stairs/lift and 'music' was played from 8am to 11pm from a speaker right outside our door which was quite annoying at times. But if you can get a room away from there I would highly recommend this hotel :-)
This hotel is at the quiet part...
This hotel is at the quiet part of Karon Beach which for us was the perfect location since we have kids. Close to the beach and no traffic on the road outside the Hotel. The staff is friendly and breakfast is good enough. The cleaning of the room was very good and the Hotel is really worth its money. I can definitely recomend it to others.

I was surprised to the upside, to be susinct. This is a beautiful "old" property is at the heart of Karon Beach, as you all know. What you perhaps don't know, is that one cannot swim from Karon Beach, though there is a very nice beach within easy walking distance called Kata Beach. As for the hotel itself, the room was much better than I expected with such a low relative price point, the staff were very professional, friendly and engaging and the services that I used were at the very least, adequate. If I were to voice a complaint, it would be that the breakfast could have had more variety of fresh fruits and juices. I would not hesitate to either return to this hotel or recommend it to anyone considering a stay there.

We visited the Old Phuket in June 06 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was very quiet but we liked it like this! The staff were very friendly and would do anything they could to help you enjoy your stay and get the most out of your holiday. I would definately recommend this hotel and is a bargin for the price.

The location is quiet and good for relaxation. Quiet place. Nice rooms. We stayed in the Deluxe Spa room.
The jacuzzi took 2 hours to be filled up.
The swimming pool is a bit small.
The design is very 16-17th century oriental style.
Would not suit those looking for luxury or modern design hotel.
My family of 8 stayed here for...
My family of 8 stayed here for 5 days in May and were a little disappointed. It was definitely value for money, however the hotel is rather old and the facilities are worn and limited. The gym was just two sets of work-out machines that was placed (weirdly) in the corridor outside our room, the pool was small and rather sad looking. The toilet looks lovely in the pics but was really very dim, and the decorative window looking out to the room caused water to leak badly into the bedroom. Each time after we showered we had to take the floor mat from the bathroom to the bedroom to clean up the mess. My husband and I paid extra to stay in the spa deluxe room but kinda regretted as the jacuzzi tub was rather dirty (I suppose due to under-utilisation) and like what was written on an earlier review - took ages to fill. Before we could use the tub, we had to wash it to rid it of the dirt. Service was relatively good with the exception that the hotel simply refused to allow us late check out after 2 pm, insisting on charging us by the hour. As it was the low season, the hotel was barely occupied, and our flight was at 8pm. We tried asking for just one room to be extended till 5pm so that we could wash up before we leave, but was turned down flat. Repeated requests to speak to the manager was greeted with various excuses. Breakfast was a simple fare of bread and choice of two eggs with ham/sausage/bacon everyday, and everyone was only entitled to one helping. Although it is value for money, we probably would not stay there again. I would gladly pay a little more for the Access Pool Resort that's just a little down the road.

I read the reviews of this hotel and thought it'll be a safe choice. It was a good choice.
When we arrived, we were greeted by the very warm staff at the hotel. We managed to get a very early check-in (10am instead of 3pm), probably cos it was off-peak season and the hotel was pretty quiet. Room was clean and i liked the decor. The hotel is located just 2mins from the beach, you can easily walk down.
Considering the price i paid, i think the hotel was pretty good value. Breakfast wasn't much, but i didn't expect a feast. Typical American breakfast selection, food was cooked only when we ordered it. I thought food was a little bland though. On the day of our departure, we had to catch a really early flight out and the hotel prepared takeaway breakfast for us at 6am. Saved us lots of trouble.
Not a very fancy hotel, but good value for money if you ask me.

The service is standard, the swimming pool is small, with the poolside bar being closed most of the time, the gym and sauna very small and broke.
Very clean hotel, with room service doing an excellent job.
Would recommend to families and those manageing to get the awesome prices found on Asiarooms.com
Other than that, there is no way I would pay their normal rate.
