If you want to do nothing, and...
If you want to do nothing, and don't want to see the unpleasant side of Phuket, Patong beach, this is the best place.
It is very quiet and peacefull. The sundeck and the beach are private so no hassling while you are sunbathing. It is a very romantic place, with very large and clean chalet rooms.

If you're looking for a quite place, away from the hectics of Phuket, this one is perfect. Not for those who want a lot of noise around them or who want to be active throughout te day.
Beautiful rooms, nice (almost) private beach and real value for money. Walking distance from Nai Harn beach and its restaurants and shops. Would definitely come here again

it is a nice and calm place, away from the tourism direct at the beach and also in the middle of the Jungel. It is very authentic. The personal is friendly and the food is ok.

The staying at Baan Krating is definetely memorable!
We will come back there for sure. It is highly reccomanded for whoever is looking for peace and relaxing time away from crowd, high noise and pubs.
The resort is completely settle in a small "jungle" (but very nicely arranged) with a very small beach in front of the resort.
For one day we rent a bike and we went areound to other crowded beaches like Kata, Patong and other, but then in the evening was very nice to come back to the quite of Baan Krating.
The service was very nice.
I would reccomend this place for couples and family.

I visited Baan Krating, Phuket, when the resort was just open not that long. But I was very impressed about the staffs' effort to take care of the guests. Everyone was so friendly, full of service mind and "natural". And I strongly agreed with their quote on the internet page, "maintains the core characteristic of Thai hospitality with the flexible of private home living rather than the restricted hotel atmostphere."
The place was quite secluded, so it's far from the nightlife in Phuket's main entertainment area (30-40 mins drive). But if you just wanted other places to sit down and drink outside the resort, it's only 5 mins away. The room was quite nice and clean. Oh! The resort was great for the couple but if you would take the olders in family to this place, make sure to reserve the lower level room. With all the combination above plus the atmosphere, I love this place and looking forward to staying at other location of Baan Krating's.

Generally pleased, except that the internet quoted 'Private balconies, all with an ocean view' is not exactly correct. The room I stayed in, was too far away to have an ocean view. Then I enquired with hotel staff, there are differentiated rates between those with ocean view, and those without. The hotel only quoted one rate in the internet.
