My partner and I booked a 5 night stay with Sali Thai and ended up only staying 3 of the 5 nights. On arrival we were told that we would stay in a room for one night and then be shown to our superior room that should be available the following day. After returning from our shopping on the second day we were met by an employee who told us that we could not stay with their hotel for the next 2 nights as there was a problem with our room and that we were to stay over the road in a totally different hotel in 2 different rooms over the 2 nights we would be there. Now I'm no expert but I do believe we paid a whole lot more to stay at the Sali Thai than we did to stay in the low budget hotel they put us up in that was located over the top of 2 very loud bars, the shower/bath had not been cleaned from the previous occupants and did not have a pool. Further more we were made to sit and eat the crappy egg and 1 piece of bacon for breakfast while watching everyone across the road sit up to a lovely buffet breakfast at the Sali Thai. We were placed in a suite on our return to the Sali Thai but the damage had already been done. Overall the facilities at the Sali Thai are lovely, clean and quiet. The hotel is located 2 mins from the beach, bars and shopping. The service was poor and I would not stay here again purely because when I pay to stay somewhere I expect to be staying in this hotel EVERY NIGHT and not playing musical rooms with 2 hotels that clearly did not match up in ratings.
