i stay in phuket a lot and i always stay in a different hotel depending on the best deal i find on this website.. as far as this hotel goes, rooms are really nice, good bed, excellent shower but it's let down by a couple of simple things.. the television reception had more snow than switzerland and the air con sounded like a hurricane!! it's little frustrating things that shouldn't happen and i couldn't be bothered going downstairs to complain. there's some construction going on next door as well which is really loud all day but that isn't their fault. breakfast is really nice - the usual phuket buffet you get everywhere. the cakes in the bakery are horrible though.. location is really good, easy access to everything and you can hire a motorbike just next door. nice pool but the bar is next to the pool not in it like most places. the hotel grounds are reall nice, good views from the balcony of the hills. staff were overall nice - except 1.
would i stay here again?? maybe.. depends on the other deals around.

We had a very pleasant stay and found the staff very pleasant and helpful. Loved the upgraded room to poolside and slipped into the pool everynight from the verandah.
staff and dining room was very nice, but we enjoyed the food elsewhere more. Music was very loud, which kept us out of the reception area in the evenings. However our room was quiet pleasant and very clean.

Positives: wonderful value for the price; very clean; above-average breakfast; great amenities; responsive staff; good location with regular free shuttle to section of Kata beach reserved for guests; shops nearby; great pool; free wireless access.
Negatives: long walk if room located on far end of hotel; some items in disrepair (showers not working and shower doors missing); hotel food overpriced (but this is typical of all hotels in Phuket).
Overall: great value hotel that is very family-friendly.

The hotel name is Alpine Nalina Resort & spa hotel.The hotel has only been open 5 months! We only stayed there for 3 days but I wish i had stayed there a lot longer. The Hotel is great. Everything about it was lovely ,the room was loverly,the staff where great, they helped you when ever they could.The hotel is a bit out of the way but not far(5 min walk to kata). I would stay there again it was that nice.
