The location is good..Near to patong beach.The breakfast variety is too little and almost the same everyday.I find the room is ok but there is no door for the toliet.Im staying in a superior room but there is no door for the toliet just a curtain to pull.I do not like the toliet without door as it is not convenient and can smell if your partner is using the toliet.

nice enough hotel in the horrible town of Patong

The room at Rayaburi was much better than we expected - a pleasant surprise. The breakfast staff were great. However, we found the staff at reception totally disinterested - an almost "bored with just another tourist" attitude - silly as we are the ones keeping the place in business. Location was excellent - close to everything you might need in Patong. The only trouble was Patong itself - would never recommend this area of Thailand to anyone- nothing to do with the Rayaburi itself but hard to give a good review to a hotel in a ghastly town. We have traveled extensively around the world including Asia and this is the first place I have seriously NOT liked even a little.

Poor Design

We stayed in a standard quad family room which has 2 bedrooms located on the second floor. Was surprised that there is no direct access by lift but need to take lift up to 4th flr and walk down flight of steps to the room and vice versa if you need to get to the lobby on ground floor The steps were very steep thus not suitable for elderly or children. Bathrooms big though but shower area is of poor design as there is no drainage hole for water to flow thru but flow thru the only drainage hole in the bathroom flooding the whole area thus making it slippery. Also there is no shower curtain for the standing shower as well as for the bath tub so water water everywhere (tsunami). No hot water connected to wash basin.

7 Night Stay

Value for the money. Very close to beach, shopping and nightlife. Room was very good. Much better than expected for a 3 star hotel. The room was quiet at night even though there were bars nearby. Breakfast was getting boring after 3 days. Not guest friendly, 800 Baht and 1500 Baht for overnight guests. Pool is tiny but who cares when you are so close to the beach.

Nice but would not stay here agan.

Pick up from the airport smooth as well as check in.Got to the loft wing turned on air con..whats that smell.Smelt like wet paint.Felt a bit funny from the fumes.Smell did go away after a while.Come night time bit of noise outside....oh great bar next door in courtyard.Ground floor.Echoed all night.Yelling yahooing.Im sorry i do like a nights sleep. Who in there right mind would let a bar set up there between 3 hotels in a court yard.In another review they mentioned the bar had moved out.Guess what...it moved right back in.Now the superior rooms are on the other side to the bar so maybe wouldnt here the noise.Breakfast was pretty ordinary really.Worst of the 2 week trip.Wasnt off or lack of it but there wasnt much variety.

This hotel definatley looks better on the...

This hotel definatley looks better on the website than in reality. We thort that the roof top jaccuzi would be nice to relax in with nice views of patong bay at sunset, however it look the water hadent been cleaned ever and the view of other dirty roof tops,water tanks,pipe work etc was not romantic at all. Compared to other hotels/resorts in close proximity, the breakfast was pretty ordinary and the dinner was poor and over priced. The location is great, its about 80 meters to beach and good food pavilion (recommend neong and rambo) and it is far enough away from the party noise of bangla rd, overall we have had better food,service,facilities for the price.

I find this hotel suitable for budget...

I find this hotel suitable for budget travellers rathar than for families. Breakfast was ok except for the constant stream of houseflies flying around my food. The hotel is rather noisy at night due to its location next to a bar. I would rate this hotel value for money due to its pricing and location which is about 5 minutes away from the beach.
