Overall, the stay was pleasant. The rooms...
Overall, the stay was pleasant. The rooms were very cosy and comfy. Some of the not so positive things were: 1. The location is quite far off from kata beach and the shops were quite a distance away. It is about 1 hour away from phuket town/central and about the same to the airport. 2. The breakfast was terrible and for Muslim patrons, be careful of what they serve for breakfast. Always ask what meat is used as more likely than not they would use pork. 3. Do not eat at a nearby restaurant which serves Indian food called khan baba. The food is horrendous and expensive. It doesn't remotely taste like authentic Indian cuisine. But overall I would still recommend it as the hospitality is top-notch. Staff is polite and prompt, the 2 things that always make stays memorable.

We had an awesome stay at Beach...
We had an awesome stay at Beach Boutique even tho it started off a little bumpy ;) We booked the deluxe room which was a little small, but it was alright, very cosy & stylish. Lucky us, when we entered, the switches wouldn't work, they tried to fix it but after 1/2hr eventually gave up. They then upgraded us to the best suite in the hotel!! Very cool :D It was hugeee, stylish and very clean. Perfect for family/friends up to about 6-8 people? There was a pool right outside our balcony too. I saw some reviews about the common pool being really small, but there is actually another bigger pool around the hotel. Kata beach is really not far, we walked there in about 8-10minutes. You just gotta follow the canal :) Kata is very quiet, perfect to laze and read but not much activities. The other nicer beach, Kata Noi is slightly further, about 20minutes walk, (But SO WORTH IT, the beach is gorgeous, slightly more populated but still nice.) Overall, the hotel is in a fairly quiet spot, but there are a few bars/restaurants around the area. To get to the main Kata spot with a lot more shops (near Kata Noi beach), its like I said, bout 20mins walk. Considering the price we paid, (S$50/person for 3 nights), the hotel exceeded our expectations. (even if we didn't get the suite!)

Nice, modern and clean hotel, we stayed...
Nice, modern and clean hotel, we stayed in a friendly deluxe which was nice and large. The room was large, the bathroom ok, but the shower was a bit annoying, taking quite long time for an adjustment in temperature to come through, so too cold, then over-compensating to be too hot. The only real downside was the location, a 15 minute walk into Kata to where the shops were. 10 minutes to kata beach, but the part of the beach dominated by club med, so not alot in terms of shops/restaurants, all down the other end. You cant walk through club med. Its closer to part of Karon, which seems to be split in 2 parts, at either end of the beach, the closer bit 5-7 mins to some restaurants and shops. Nice staff (Pom is lovely), decent breakfast.

If you don't mind the more modern...
If you don't mind the more modern setup/decor of the place, this is really nice. What's better for us was that we were upgraded to a deluxe from superior. When we enter the apartment 'block' where our room is located on the 2nd flr, there's a common locked door with a driveway that can park one car. So if you're the only one that drives in your block, good for you. The driveway is all yours. Otherwise, you'll just have to park at next door/block driveway, which tends to be mostly empty anyway. Very convenient. When you open the common door, 1st floor room is the superior room; 2nd floor is the deluxe room, and 3rd floor is probably the next higher category (didn't chk tt out). The whole place gives a very comfortable 'homey' feel. As for location, it's not beachfront, but it's not all that far to walk and there's plenty of shops & restaurant nearby. Near enough to walk, far enough so that the noise doesn't reach your room. We enjoyed the stay very much. Highly recommend it.
