just came back from my 4 days 3 nights stay in phuket. hotel is just right beside the burger king. the beach is right in front of u however the water in patong is sucky. the hotel is around all the expensive seafood area so we have to walk abit further to the night market club shopping area in patong abt 5-10 mins walk?
rooms are clean but their room service sucks! there wasnt any kettle in the room then they actually gave it to us on our last night. they cleaned our rooms well but did not give us towels or toilet roll on the 2nd day?? it feels like they cleaned our rooms half way and forgot about it. requested for twin bed - they told us it's queen sized bed but it was actually 2 single bed. they always seem to forget about something whenever they clean our rooms.
-breakfast is simple n good
-free wifi
-one night stay is about $100. i went w a group of 8. 2 pax per room and spend like $150 for 3 nights in total. pricing wise is reasonable
-i would try out a different hotel the next time round prob. a cheaper one that is near the night market?
overall is not too bad actually. bf says he will go back again and he like the breakfast... shrugs?
Friendly staff, all staff were always quick to say hello and talk to you. Bathroom needs to have a bit of a renovation, bit tired/old. Breakfast good, changed a few dishes everyday. Steps no lift, this was not worry for us though. Pool area very nicely set out. Great position, central. Easy, quick check in and check out. Nice sitting/waiting area.
The Royal Palm is in a great location, close to the beach and all of the action. The staff were so lovely and helpful and the rooms were very nice, spacious and clean. The Royal Palm is a great hotel and I would highly recommend it.
booked this hotel for a second time, as we'd been here before, and quite simply, the location is good. however, I was not impressed with the room. noisy, old AC. turn it off to get some sleep, and wake up sweating two hours later??? AC and plug sockets hanging off the wall, breakfast late, and already cold. value for money..? you get what you pay for, I will not be returning to this hotel.
Stayed for 2 nights over the last weekend. location definitely is great if we are talking about proximity to patong beach, it's right smack at the beachfront. comfort level of the room is decent for the price paid. staff were friendly and helpful. swimming pool size is pretty small but good enough for a relaxing experience.
Great Place, We had our Honeymoon there and they gave us a free upgrade to deluxe room. Great location on Patong Beach, Burger King just next to Entrance. Convenient store behind the hotel.
Will be getting the Suite room on our next visit, its facing the Sea.
Both thumbs up!
The staff often had trouble with English but overcame it. The water in the shower &bathroom was difficult to regulate. Even after it was set it would become hotter or colder. The location as respect to shopping, the beach etc. was perfect.
just like the other reviews, this place is not as nice as what it seems to be.my 2 friends and I paid about $130 singapore dollars per night for the room which is not facing the beach at all.we called the reception and asked for a bottle opener the 1st night and it never came.there is not flask or not even a box of tissue on the rooom.other than the location, there is nothing worth staying in the room.moreover, the breakfast is not good at all.
The location is very convenient to go to the Patong Beach and shopping in town as well. Bangla Road is not too far. Food is easily available. The breadfast is good in the hotel and we are happy with the front restorant first floor table giving a good view of the beach front and tourist passing by with complete privacy when we have our dinner. Room is comfortable and clean. Bathroom is quite adequate and functional. Value for money. Looking forward to going back again with my wife.
