We stayed there for 3 nights from 3-6 July in sea view Jacuzzi Room. The hotel itself was unders construction and the hotel next to ours was also under constructions, so you may see there were alot of workers around the hotel which made us felt it is not vacaton enough and of course noisy too! Some of the Staff like bell service and receptionist were very helpful and kind to customers. Night Operator (male) were so rude to my towel request and room internet password which is totally unacceptable. Korean tourist group were very noisy in breakfast, swimming pool and also when check out. With these comments, I am sure I will not go back to this hotel again.

This hotel has one of the most fantastic views of Kamala Beach and the sea. It will take you only 10 mins down the slope by foot to Kamala Beach. If you prefer, the hotel has free drop off and pick up service to the beach twice a day. The food at the Poolside Bar is generally good but quality could be more consistent. Staff were polite and helpful, and one was attentive enough to offer us mosquito spray when we were dining at the Poolside Bar. We appreciated the free WIFI very much as hubby needed to work while I entertained myself with the 10++ cable channels. The only gripe I have is the positioning of the private jacuzzi which really doesn't afford one the fantastic view of the sea. Which is such a waste and I believe would be costly. I am looking forward to the villas which are still under construction, which I believe would solve this problem for us.

Fantastic hotel, great service and welcome. Shuttle service good although finishes at 6pm so cannot be used in the evening.
Drinks and food at the hotel very expensive, but top quality.
Only real downside was the room servicing. The first day we returned at 5pm and had not been cleaned. The second day we made a special request and it was done early (11am). Third day it was late afternoon.
The hotel pool area was gorgeous, but it was low season and I think there would not be enough beds in high season.
Building work going on around the hotel but I expected this so it was no problem.
Overall we loved our stay, just had a problem with the room servicing.

We stayed with my wife for 1 week in mid-April 2009.
Wonderful hotel with a nice seaview and calm relaxing atmosphere.
Very friendly and nice personnel, nicely equipped rooms.
It would be also nice to stay at one of the villas right on the beachfront when they are finished.
The hotel is not in the very center of the evening life, but all the attractions of the Kamala beach are just 10 min walk, also hotel trolley is available to take you to the beach and back if you wish.
The hotel has a nice luxurious touch in everything: design, location, service. I would highly recommend, especially after all the villas and construction at nearby site is finished.

Cape Sienna is a very modern hotel with luxurious feel. There are two restaurants and one rooftop bar. Great ambience. however, the food is quite pricey for what you get (although the food is good in general). The location of the hotel is less than ideal. Shuttle services are provided daily until 6p.m. to the nearest beach. however, if you want to go an extra mile to a diff. beach, the hotel is certainly not shy about charging 300 baht for one way fare. The hotel even trierd to charge me 1200 baht for my airport limousine pick-up. The only problem was that the limousine never showed. It was a shuttle bus and they still charged me 800 baht, when I could have taken a nicer car for 600 baht.
Housekeeping could also do a better job, as many times I had to pick up the trash myself. The sink was also never cleaned. It was just very sloppy (and not to mention dozens of mosquitos flying around in the room everyday)
Food is probably the highlight of my stay there. However, way too pricey for what I got.
Service was hit or miss. There were a couple of female receptionists who should not be working in the hospitality industry. Also, for a luxury hotel as such, one would expect English-speaking staff. That wasn't quite the case there. Half of the time, staff had problems understanding what I was trying to say.
All in all, there was just a complete lack of consistency during my entire stay. I also felt like this luxury hotel was trying to 'nickel and dime" the guests. which should never be the case in a luxury hotel. people pay extra to stay in nice places for the overall experience. however, i feel that my experience there all came down to money, i.e. how food/bev welcoming coupon could never be applied to hotel events. I also could not use my welcome drink voucher at the poolside bar, which i found it very unreasonable. A welome drink is a welcome drink, why are guests being restricted towhere they can have that drink (oh, yes, and they never called me when I asked for the wake-up call, which made me miss a day tour). i would only go back if they improve the overall service, value, experience, and have no kids allowed.
