Dewa, Phuket  

The Dewa is a strange resort, with half the accommodation being rather small and rather claustrophobic pool villas and the other part like condos.
We stayed in 'The Residence' which are apartments overlooking a pool and offer a separate bedroom plus dining and kitchen area and a balcony. The standard of accommodation is very good and it makes a change to have a nice lounge area and kitchen. The rest of the hotel however is nothing special and the customer service is lacking the usual Thai hospitality and smiles. Neither of the pool areas are great with one right next to the hotel lobby - it beats me what the designer was thinking when he designed this.
We only stayed there for one night to be close to the airport and for that it is fine. You can enjoy the good accommodation and next door is a good Thai restaurant to have an evening meal.
I would only recommend staying there if you need to the airport for a one night stay,as there are far better true resort style hotels throughout Phuket.
