Good hotel for family
Good Hotel for family, compare with the other hotel in the same price.

Best Hotel Ever
R-Mar for its price is a lot more than we expected pictures are exactly what you get. I booked another 5 nights after my first couple of days. This hotel has excellent staff always willing to help and always friendly. (I even left my camera at the hotels restaurants and before i had even realised i had gotten a call saying they had it down at reception) The pool is great and the rooms are beautiful. This is the best hotel i have stayed at in my travels. Even better considering the great discount we got. After reading some negative reviews before i left i am very surprised what anyone could complain about. Will be staying here for my whole trip on my next patong holiday :)
Fantastic Place
We stayed at the R-Mar Resort and Spa from July 30th to August 8th and then again from August 8th to August 12th 2011. The resort is fantastic value for money i.e. we stayed in the Deluxe Room which was very well done and clean. Bathroom was excellent with hot water available all the time and good water pressure. The staff are courteous and polite. Very very nice large and very clean swimming pool. Also noted that on a few days, a lot of school children visited and spent the day at the resort leading me to think that the resort management have some tie-ins with schools for children to visit which is great !!! The location is about 10 mins walk to Jungceylon Shopping Mall or Bangla Road nightlife. However, very quiet once inside the resort. The only downside would was when the neighbours took a shower, the sound of the shower / water pump woke me up from my sleep as it was quite loud. All in all, very highly recommended !! Would definitely stay here again !!!
Great Location but lacking in service
Having been to Phuket 4 years ago, Patong Beach was the favourite choice!
R-Mar has a fantastic location with it being within walking distance to the beach (less than 5 mins), Bangla Road (Entertainment) and Jungceylon (Shopping Centre).
A point to note that this hotel was formerly known as Jintana Resort as not many drivers have heard of R-Mar Resort & Spa. It will be a good idea to print the location when you take a taxi from the airport.
The room was spacious and very comfortable and came with a balcony.
This helps as the hotel rooms are all non-smoking and we smoked in the balcony instead.
No ashtray provided though but the soap dish worked fine!
The swimming pool has an attached jacuzzi area but unfortunately, these close at 7pm.
The tour desk ladies in the hotel are very friendly and knowledgeable and assisted us with non-island-hopping tours during our stay.
The staff at the front desk were a little "blur" at times.
Having checked-in at 11pm, we requested for a late check-out but was told that a charge of 300 THB per hour will be applicable. Another incident happened upon check-out itself where we were kept waiting at the front desk as the lady checking us out did not know what to do and her two colleagues were discussing other issues at the counter next door.
We also asked for an adaptor but took a while before the right one came along.
We also asked for a wine opened but the one sent was broken at the tip and we could not open the bottle. Called for another one and they sent it up straight away but we had to open our bottle there and then while she waited outside as they only had 1 working wine opener.
Room service was fast but the food was not that fantastic (we had the pad thai).
Internet is chargeable at 60 THB per hour. You can use it in the room or in the lobby at the computers there.
Overall, a great location which helps save on tuk-tuk and taxi rides!!!

Atrocious services rendered
Hotel room fabulous. Breakfast buffet not that fantastic. Location great for easy accessibility to the beach (Patong). Overall we'd give 5/ 5 for the room, 1/5 for the service. Would want to choose other hotels next time we go to Phuket. Patong is overrated. We gonna try to stay in Kata or even Karon.
Good Location
Convenient location to beach, food, rentals. Near to nightspots 10mins walk but quiet and not noisy though near. many shops nearby and very friendly staff and fast room service. Recommended hotel for anyone!
Excellent!
You could not wish for better, more friendly service at the R-Mar. Everything was clean, spacious and fresh. Like an oasis amongst the hustle and bustle of Patong Beach, it was easy walking distance to everything and private. Will definitely go back.

the room is clean and spacious. staff is friendly and helpful. basically the 6 nights in the hotel was a great exp and enjoyable.
location wise, it is located at the end of an alley so it requires some walking to the bangla street or the beach.
worth the try if you have budget but yet wants to enjoy a good treatment.
