Great Low Cost Place to stay
I really loved staying at this hotel, its actually more like a Guest House than an hotel, I had a nice big room with a TV, A/C, double bed and safe for personal belongings. The owner Lars was really great and he asked each day how things were going, did I have a good day, etc... I ate once at the hotel, a Thai meal and it was really good. Very fresh ingredients and nice and spicy! They also do western food. Only concern was that my room was on the 2nd floor and there was no lift. Lars helped me take my bag up there so no problems for me. But I imagine if you had kids and had to take a pushchair up and down the stairs it could be annoying.

The rooms are spotless for their class!
We ate the beautiful food, enjoyed the lovely company and relished the beer!
One minor issue is that one needs to get transport to go the the main beach but this
is not really a problem as transport is readily available right out front!

very nice budget accommodation
stayed at the lanna for 10 days with my thai g/f,in the room on the top(floor2) front - it is quite large and has an in room safe, the toilet/shower is very small but works ok nice bed --
theres a dvd player , the tv picture is poor but dvd,s are clear
theres a balcony where one can sit and watch the people below, its in a perfect positon for shops and outside eaterys , and bars too
its a bit noisy as the room is above the road but for the price its great, and ive got absolutely no complaints !

great value for money!
I found this guesthouse to be great value for money! My room was a good size, nice and clean with cold airconditioning. It was also the first place I have stayed that had a DVD player in the room (not sure if all the rooms have one?) It was about a 10min walk to Jungcelon shopping centre. But there is a motorbike taxi stand at the front door and tuk tuk's passing all the time. The food market across the road has excellent food and is nice and cheap. I would definatly stay there again. Hope you have a nice stay like I did!
A very pleasing stay
We stayed 5 days and could easily have stayed much longer. It is 15 - 20 mins walking from the beach if that is important or 10 mins from all the action in town.
Yet it is far enough out that you can sleep in.
Our room was large and clean. The toilet doubled as a shower like in a caravan but that didn't worry us. What for $20 a night we thought there must have been a mistake.
We hired a scooter so distances to the beach, shopping or around Phuket were not a problem. You can even hire one from Lanna Thai.
We would be very happy to return.

It is a fair walk to the beach, the rooms are simple and bathroom was very small, too small to fit 2 people at once. But the bed was good and staff are friendly. Good value.

Best value deal for budget travellers, I will come many many times to Phuket and stay at Lanna Thai, food is good and just like the hotel, great value for money !
Owner of the hotel, Joe, is friendly and easy to get along. Hotel has some personal touch to it.
