Not a good experience.
Staff not as we have come to know as the Thai friendliness. Front desk was good though. Rest not very friendly nor obliging.
Breakfast was not western friendly. For example soup at breakfast - no cornflakes for 2 of the 6 mornings, leaving the only cereal as a sickly chocolate coated mess which was inedible.
But the worst was the noise factor for the room. All activities from the outside corridoor and other room doors echoed right into the room. Very difficult to get to sleep and woken several times each night by what appeared to be loud door slamming. This was really only normal shutting of the door with any of the close by doors. Configuration of the hotel, tilled floors and obviously no sound deadening insulation all contributed. Several other guests at breakfast also complained about this. So we were not alone in this criticism. In addition, outside talking in the the foyer of the adjoining partner hotel throughout the night (do people not sleep?). In addition the adjoining building works ensured that an early morning wake up occurred from the external noise.
In total would recommend Do Not stay at this hotel.
The noise factor was by far the worst we have endured anywhere. The worst by a significant margin. We have stayed in many hotels through Europe, Asia and Australasia and have not encountered any thing that comes even close to this noise factor. We do normally rate our stays as very good to excellent.
