Surin Park , Phuket  

Surin Park provides a wonderful atmosphere, located within walking distance of both Surin and Bang Tao beach. This I found was a major positive, as you avoid the major tourist areas in Phuket such as Patong and Phuket Town, which are highly overcrowded during peak holiday season. If you need a quiet place to stay, but within suitable driving distance to other tourist attractions in Phuket, Surin Park certainly suits that criteria.
Even though it is not a 'hotel' as such, don't let that discourage you, as the fact is, the apartment at the resort makes it feel very comfortable as a place to stay at, away from the comforts of home. The apartment is very modern, well maintained, cleaned on a regular basis and very spacious. The apartment also includes a kitchen area, helpful for cooking that late night meal if you so desire. They are also located ideally within view above the pool on the bottom floor.
The service provided was excellent, with the lovely manager, Susan Borvornpotsakul, providing very helpful advise during our entire stay. Susan and her family made Surin Park a stand out for us, due to the family run atmosphere, but go out to extreme lengths to make sure our stay was indeed enjoyable and relaxing, including making sure transport was provided, even if we did not ask for it.
The staff were very friendly, warm and polite, including the very entertaining 'Ot', aka the barman/waiter/bellhop.
Thanks to all the staff and locals who made our stay in Surin very welcoming, and made our stay in Phuket, but foremostly Surin Park, quite pleasant throughout our entire trip.
