Not a very pleasant stay!
The hotel has a serious water shortage problem and does not have any back up support in case of power failures. I was on my honeymoon and we had to sit in the dark lobby for quite some time and quite often when there was power outage. The housekeeping did not do their cleaning job well almost every time. Breakfast at the hotel is very ordinary and not worth the cost you pay. There was some construction work going on in the surroundings outside the hotel and there was too much noise coming in to the room which was very surprising as mostly hotel rooms are sound proof.
All in all it wasn't a very pleasant and comfortable stay and absolutely not worth the money we paid for the stay.

Hemingways Hotel
Great hotel to stay at, within walking distance to jungceylon shopping centre and soi bangla. However breakfast selection was very limited. And if you will be driving yourself, there isn't any carpark space for you unless you are the only guest who rent car. And the place was quite hard to find.

HEMINGWAY PHUKET
I like small hotels, because the client is not just a number to which we must take the maximum money in minimum time!
We had breakdowns network Internet of ~ 2 hours, two days off between! I deplore the lack of willingness on the part of the receptionist's time to fix!
By cons internet is available throughout the hotel for those who have a notebook is very valuable!
My Review
Our group checked into Hemmingways Hotel, Phuket after a tired trip from Khao Lak. Our accomodation was reserved.
Reception asked for deposit without wanting to give a receipt for it. We insisted for it.
Also, there was extra deposit for everything...( extra room keys/umbrellas).
Room was new & clean.
Yes, the only negative feedback was there's no shower curtain which makes the whole bathroom wet after one shower. Also, it would be good if the hotel could put extra hook/railings to hang clothes.
Value for money. My friends & I were happy with the hotel.

Good location, short walking distance to Bangla Street and Jungceylon Shopping Mall. Clean room with basic amenities. Ideal for getaway on a budget. However breakfast selection was very limited.

Definitely will recommend this hotel to my friends! Nice rooms, good location.. Only don't like the standing shower that made the toilet so wet...
Honeymoon stay
A great location and walking distance to a lot of places including the Thai Boxing stadium. Cheap way to get to the hotel is by the airport shuttle. The manager is a real nice guy and upgraded us to their best room at no extra cost as we stayed there for 4 days. The food is really nice too. Not a lot of facilites but total value for money and we had a great time as its walking distance to the beach 10 minutes. Plenty of food and shopping too, though Bangkok is far cheaper. Would surely stay there again and a must try.
