Clean but weak water!
Firstly, the hotel was very clean and the room spotless. The maid did an excellent job and plenty of towels, both bath and beach, were provided. Despite a construction site nearby it was very quiet with no noise from within the hotel or from outside. The rooms are a good size and the large window into the bathroom was interesting, although there was a blind.
However, the water flow in the bath was very slow. There was a lovely big bath tub but at the rate the hot/luke warm water came out it took an hour to fill. The shower had minimal power unless used on cold (freezing cold). No soap was provided in the bathroom, just a tiny bottle of shower gel and no hand towels.
On the Wednesday night it rained all night and the following day the hotel was without power for the whole day until around 6pm. This was not the fault of the hotel (I believe) but frustrating nonetheless as the surrounding streets were flooded so there was not much to do. No information was provided, although the very hassled reception did their best.
Despire arranging an airport pick-up, direct with the hotel via email, and receiving confirmation, it was not there when we arrived. On phoning the hotel I was told, sorry we forgot. We'll send one now. I declined and used a atxi I found at the airport, which was 200 baht cheaper.
The hotel is just around the corner from Jungceylon and a short-ish stroll to Bangla Road.
There is a 500 baht "joiner fee" for unregistered guests.
The reception staff are helpful but have an attitude that could easily be misconstrued by someone not used to Thai ways!
I wouldn't hurry back as there are so many other options in Patong.
