We stayed there for 3 days. Nice garden and a huge, beautiful pool. The room, breakfeast and service gives maximum 3 star. It is a must to have car. Nothing arround the hotel. On the beach many little flies? and the water not clear.

Room service is very poor, called room service at midnight with confirmation, but nobody come to the room until morning. A lot of mosquito (the lakeview deluxe room) is just next of a pool of dead water. It is almost 1 hour by car to HuaHin city. Nothing is around the resort. You can stay this hotel only if you want to stay in a cave.

We stayed at the hotel for 10...
We stayed at the hotel for 10 nights and were really very happy. The hotel and the accomodations are really nice. The pool and gardens are amzing and everything is just arranged beautiful and very clean. We stayed in one of the lake villas and had a little balcony for our own where we could take tea / coffee in the afternoons and just relax a little bit. Overall the environment is really quiet and peaceful. Only negative thing is that the rooms are very low soundproof (walls like papers?-I do not know the exact English term). The first nights it was O.K. (we had no neighbours) but then we got very noisy neighbours that got phone calls during the night, slammed their doors at night and woke up at 6.30 in the morning with the phone ringing, which woke us up every day. This was very disturbing if you want to have a relaxing holiday...(but overall its not the Hotel´s fault if follow-travellers are so unmindful / reckless). Breakfast was O.K. with a variety of choices (European and Asian), with Salads and Fruits for healthy food, but also sweet cakes and bakeries, Ham and eggs and whatever needed. Only thing I regreted was that it was only until 9.30 (again, I like to really sleep out in holidays). The guest were mostly European during the week, some Asians mostly during the weekends.(Our travel time was march). The hotel is rather "lonely" which we loved, set aside a bit...but for older people or families with children this could mean though they are dependent to stay at the hotel for dinner. We always took the -free- bikes in the evenings to go around to very nice little local restaurants that really served original Thai food. Conversation was sometimes hard (as they hardy spoke any English in the little restaurants ), but that was no problem. Talking with feat and hand and also they were so nice and the food delicous and cheap. But as I mentioned you had to go with the bikes as walking would take you about 1/2 hour-3/4 hour (bycicle ride approx. 10-15 mins). For lunch you could walk to the nearby food stand (which closed early in the evening) at the beach and which was also very good. Food at the hotel was fine also, but rather expensive for Thailand (but on the other hand-you are in a high class hotel, so thats absolutely O.K. and appropriate). And it was a little bit adapted to the farang taste (thats the feeling I had). But overall very high quality food! And great Barbecues.... At the hotel you could not do so much (other than really enjoying the landscape and relaxing, lying at the beach or pool). But we every day used the free Gym and we also had very good massages at the hotel Spa (which is more expensive again as at the beach but very professional!!! And in a very nice and quiet surrounding! Exactly what you need to relax!!!). You could also rent motorbikes from the reception and go around (e.g. to the nearby national park) or go to Hua Hin with the daily shuttle bus (2 times a day-absolutely O.K.) that took about 3/4 hours. I have read some of the previous reviews before booking and was a little bit unsure / concerned. But after having been there I just cannot understand the critizism that was raised. We spent a wonderful holiday in nice environment and very relaxing. And what you do is always up to you. I think it is great that the hotel is a bit besides the "big town" and with nothing much around...an if you are a bit flexible, you can always organise your own tours and experience the sourroundings (we e.g. had a tour booked from a trave Agency in Hua Hin and they even picked us up at the hotel-so no problem at all that the hotel is a bit far from Hua Hin). We would go there again in any case!

We really enjoyed this hotel. It was a very quiet location and private just like the name suggest. On arrival we got a free 45minute massage, one nights free dinner and free welcoming drinks. The scenery was very peaceful and the service was great. The pool is also beautiful. We would stay again. Only thing is the hotel is one hour out of Hua Hin, so it shouldn't be advised in the Hua Hin Section.

My mom and I stayed at the...
My mom and I stayed at the Privacy Beach for one week. On the website they say it is about 10 min. from Hua Hin, but in reality it's about 40 min. with the hotel-shuttlebus. It's located next to the sea and absolutely quiet - perfect for honeymooners. The architecture is marvellous, we really had the feeling of beeing in paradise. The shuttlebus was for free, drove one time per day and waited in Hua Hin for 3 hours. So whenever we needed more time in the city, we had to take a taxi back, which was about 400 Baht. The service was really good. The staff was friendly and very obliging, even though they didn't speak English very well (they told us that most of their guests are Thai, so that's probably the reason why). The beach was a dream - we walked in both directions and didn't meet anyone but some fishermen. And the pool is as great as it looks on the pictures! To the spa we went twice - wonderful to relax but maybe a bit overpriced. Unfortunately there was no evening-entertainment. Maybe we were not enough guests. For our last evening, the manager surprised us with a most delicious supper that left no wishes(free of charge). So all in all it was a nice stay and I would choose the Privacy Beach again for honeymoon.

At least the standard rooms are far...
At least the standard rooms are far from luxurious but fine to sleep in. The corners of our dark-tiled bathrooms were not clean despite the fact that maintenance spent an hour or so in each of the rooms every day. However, the hotel gardens are lovely and the location is great for those who seek privacy and tranquility. The hotel had more staff on duty than quests (quite a few of whom were Thai) and service was laid back but very friendly. Most of the hotel staff did not speak English, but this did not cause trouble for us. The hotel is set apart from a beach by only a small road, and it is a 10 minute walk away from a village with delicious food on offer. The hotel has a restaurant but the food there is nothing special. On the other hand, the hotel restaurant is fancier than any of the alternatives in the village. I would recommend the hotel to anyone in need of a relaxing holiday, bearing in mind that the rooms are quite basic and the hotel is far away from the nearest town, Hua Hin (the trip takes 40 minutes each way by car; there is a free shuttle once a day). There is really quite little to do near the Privacy Beach Resort, the realisation of which was upsetting to some but not us.

I stayed at the room type of...
I stayed at the room type of deluxe lake suite for 2 nights. The room was clean and simple wihtout any surprises to me but I enjoyed alot time of the outdoor terrace of my room. Due to the location, it was too far away from the down town of Hua-Hin. I took over 35 minutes by taxi to get there and it cost me B$700 for the taxi fare. Although the hotel offered only one time FREE return shuttle bus to Hua-Hin at 06:00 PM, it was pretty inconvinient to get out of the hotel. Basically, I do not strongly recommend the hotel unless you enjoy to be alone whole day long. If you do interest to stay the hotel, I will suggest you book the room type of beach suite because the swimming pool is VERY close to the room.
