for me i quite enjoyed my stay because i got what i was looking for. away from it all holiday with no tourists in site a nice room after some minor problems and a fantastic bay of about six miles with great beach all to myself apart from the small thai fishing vilages on the beach,nothing outside of hotel of a night time so would help if you have transport.you can through the day get a little thai bus into ban phi for about 30 bahts about 45p english which takes about 20 mins.there is a great big market in ban phi which sells everything and you can take a 20 min boat trip to the island for the day (koh somet)check the spelling for about a £1 return ...well worth a visit,my only problem with the hotel was that on most days there was no hot water,there is one other way of transport on the back of a motor bike taxi.
