we have stayed in the Hansa JB a number of times. You get what you pay for but I say immediately it is soooo peaceful at the Hansa, the Chef is a treasure so you overlook the dirty grouting if you stay for a night or two. the staff are lovely and the Hansa is ideal if you wnat to do some sightseeing outside Hat Yai.
Nice, clean and quiet hotel, friendly staff, accessible to down town in 10 mins. Good traditional Thai and Western breakfast, though not many guests in the hotel. Recommended for the family and free and easy travellers.
