Very helpful family with a good english...
Very helpful family with a good english spoken. They can pick up you everywhere in the town (bus terminal and travel agency) and help you for the temples to see all around. Space thai style rooms and good thai cooking for the evening. Breakfeast is in the average level... Very quiet and pleasant stay. To be recomended.
Bel endroit au calme certain appreciable apres les excursions historiques. La famille parle un bon anglais et se plie en 4 pour vous aider dans vos excursions sans hesiter a vous amener au terminal de bus ou a l agence de voyage. Les chambres sont spacieuses et de style thai degageant une atmosphere tres sympatique. Piscine agreable et bien concue. Le soir la cuisine thaie est a essayer pour son rapport qualite/prix.
One would not expect an oasis like...
One would not expect an oasis like this in a layn off quarter of the sleepy country town of New Sukhothai. An architectonical masterpiece. Traditional style Thai buildings are set around a beautiful swimming pool with refreshing, though not cold water. The rooms are furnished with style and a feeling for details. Due to traditional construction the air cilculation in the rooms is so efficient that we could sleep without running the AC. There are of course some eager cockerels and a pack of barking dogs in the neighbourhood, and there are some motorbike drivers going to work in the early morning, but there is NO karaoke bar or heavy truck noise, that disturbs the slumber of the traveller.
The friendly owners are very helpful. They provide free transfer to/fro the city center, and the busstations with their Volvo car. Transfer to the cute little Sukhothai airport is charged on a reasonable rate. We had a good and relaxing massage at 300TB at their spa. The landlord and most of his family speak good English and are very helpful with their advice.
They provide good food at their new restaurant or at one of the open air tables. Breakfast is served either à la carte (if only few guests) or as breakfast buffet when full house. Nice mix of western and asian food and a choice of fruit.
We highly recommend this place for those, who want to visit Sukhothai heritage park, which is easily accessable by bus (songthaw)service.
I really enjoyed my stay in Ruean...
I really enjoyed my stay in Ruean Thai hotel. It's a bit far from the city center of Sukhothai (15 minutes by feet) but free shutle is provided on request. Rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable (there is also a mosquito protection for the bed). The hotel has a traditionaly style with a swimming pool and provides traditional thai massages. Service is quite good. The only problem we had was a bad smell the last day of our stay... It was outside the room and I think they had problems with their toilets pipes.

A very nice hotel, in old...
A very nice hotel, in old thai-style buildings (mostly wood). The athmosphere is nice and cosy, it's managed in a low-profile style by a very friendly family. We will surely stay there again if we are in the Sukhotai surroundings.

A nice hotel with very nice rooms and a very friendly family, you feel like at home. If you miss something they will try to give you with a smile. Free transfer to the city, bus station etc. and also bikes are available. We had a nice stay and last but not least: the restaurant is very good!

I Was very pleased with the hotel in genral I found the swiming pool just the right temperature what ever time of day I used it, I found the owner and all his staff very helpful with anything I ask about I was allso happy that I could rent a motor bike from the hotel at a very fair price the food was allways good and I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a fair priced room for a few days I will be useing this hotel again in the future.kind regards mr m v gower

Swimming pool too cold to swim (there is no sun to make it warm). This 2 subjects are very important.
For the rest, everything is good : nice place, clean and kind owners and staff.

Excellent relation price/quality. Extremly friendly and helpful management. Very nice overall impression. Only drawback: rooms along the street are not very well isolated against noise. We would not hesitate a moment to book again.

What a beautiful place this is! Great...
What a beautiful place this is! Great and friendly service. Not too much choice with breakfast, but again the staff was very friendly. Enough choice of (excellent) food though from the Thai-menu. There was also a free drop-off service provided by the hotel to the busstop bound for the ancient city of Sukhothai as well as the busstation. Great size of the swimming pool compared to the number of rooms the guest house has got! The use of the old wood instead of windows on the streetside does make it a bit noisy with passing bikes, cars and people but hey, it's not in a busy street and it's so beautiful at Ruean Thai... who cares!
