This resort is listed as located in or near the city of Trang, but without own transportation is difficult to reach. We knew the Anantara hotels from the elephants Polo games every year in Hua Hin and in the North, Golden Triangle. I live 5 years in Thailand now, and am able to judge by experience about hotels and the Thai hospitality industry . But what we've got here in Si Kao, was unforgettable: what a service, what a room, what a view! It was our 2e Honeymoon, we fell into one surprise to another: honeymoon cake, flowers in a heart design on the bed, a ready bathtube loaded with the Frangipani (Spa) flowers, special handwritten welcome card, a giant bouquet of red roses and nice snacks. Yes :you pay 186.- USD for one night, but it is worth the money. This is also a Spa and business meeting resort, but that combines very well with romantic honeymooners like us. The Spa influence we found back in the bath gel, shampoo and conditioner: all made from natural organic flowers, a "scent for a woman", also for the husband!. The breakfast is enhanced by a special extract of Thai herbs, pressed by a waiter, on the spot. Never see before, I will buy that pressing equipment and make this very healthy ( chlorophyll) juice myself from now.
The only small point could be that the Italian restaurant, the only one open in low season, did not serve the right food. And that could be our mistake, because you should not order Asian food in a classical Italian.....
