The tavern is renowned for its reptiles and every week in the tavern various reptile shows are held for the entertainment of the visitors. During the annual festival, which is held in the month December, Bearded Dragon showcases some amazing animal shows and other attractions. Some of the animal shows that you can enjoy during the festival are Canetoad Ball, Amateur Pet Reptile & Snake Competition and Live Canetoad Collections. The money earned from the festival is used for charitable purposes; the proceeds of the festival go to the Tamborine Mountain Landcare, Rural Firebrigades and wildlife care funds.
