The museum is reputed for its amazing collection of more than 10,000 specimens of exotic Australian vertebrate and invertebrate animals. The museum gives a detailed chronological analysis of the events –both modern and ancient in the region. The zoology museum thus goes on to take pride in its amazing collection brought together from various parts of the world. The museum founded by the department of zoology at the University of Queensland, has a collection of 20,000 specimens. The specimens are used to enhance the normal knowledge of the students and the public.
