Bribie Island a fascinating island located at a distance of 70 km from Brisbane and 2m above sea level, is an unusual mix of family resorts and beaches. Bribie is the only island in Queensland connected to a bridge.

Description: The Island is actually a National park and is decorated with many uncultivated bush lands and white sandy beaches .The ideal heaven for picnics and walks, fishing and bird watching.

History of Bribie Island: The Island has been aptly named after a convict's name Bribie. The island got a facelift only in 1963 when the bridge was built and now it boasts to be a popular tourist destination lying very close to Brisbane.

Pumicestone Passage –this passage is reputed for the mangrove marshes and the fauna which are the chief attractions. The area is ideally conducive for fishing, sailing and sail boarding. Bribie Island national Park- This Park covers an area of 5580 hectares. This park is a 4WD issue. Many bush camping and picnic areas are found in the park. Permission to enter the park is required from beforehand.
