Corroboree Park Canberra

Corroboree Park Canberra

The Corroboree Park is located on the Paterson and Corroboree Park Streets, Ainslie. The place where the park is situated is said to have links with the early settlers and indigenous people of the region. Later, by 1920's it became the center of a garden city designed by Federal Capital Advisory Committee under Sir John Sulman (the architect and town planner). The park came to be seen as the community center with its informal design and tennis courts. Since then, the park has not witnessed much change and still holds the same position, though with a slight difference. The area has now been upgraded and holds a tennis practice wall, basketball court, table tennis table, picnic area, and contemporary play equipment. This park is looked upon by all nature enthusiasts with much interest, and it also holds the tallest tree in the whole of Canberra - ribbon gum (Eucalyptus viminalis). So let go of yourself and enjoy this quaint park with interesting features to add onto its charm.
