Chinatown in Canberra is referred to the place called Woolley Street in Dickson in Canberra. The street has a huge presence of Asian's making it more of an Asian region. The street has a strong feel towards the Chinese culture thus making it famous as the Chinatown of Canberra.Chinatown is the largest group centre in Canberra and a place filled with huge civic facilities and an important business center. The place is an important retail business centre with many business outlets as well. The area is dotted with a large number of Asian restaurants, Asian supermarkets and take away food outlets. The Woolley Street in the region has the maximum counts of the Asian landmarks reinforcing the fact of being called as Chinatown.
The Chinatown presently is fast developing as an International spot for tourism for its multi cultural presence.
