The Federal Golf Club is situated very close to the centre of Canberra nestled on the leeward side of Red Hill and has an exquisite view of Brindabella Mountains. The Federal Golf Club's golf course is rated within the top sixty inland golf courses in Australia. With a par 73 layout the Federal Golf Cub is truly suited for the truly hardcore golfers of Canberra.

The enormous pristine grounds of this 18 hole championship course meanders through eucalyptus woods and the greens are very well protected by bunkers and swales.

The golf course is also a place to get a glimpse of the rich flora and fauna of natural Canberra. Besides a glorious view of the Brindabella Mountains you will also be privy to occasional glimpses of birds and animals native to the region while playing.

The golf course is designed to challenge the most passionate of golfers with its 6312 meter, par 73 layout and after a hard day's game, the well stocked clubhouse is there to take away your exhaustion.

The Federal Golf Club is a private golf course and thus guests are allowed to participate only when in the company of members. However there are opportunities for golfers from other states or countries to play in the Federal Golf Club through Golf Select.

Federal Golf Club's Club house and grounds is also ideal for various functions and parties like weddings, business seminars and other private functions.

Its recently renovated clubhouse caters for groups of up to 200 and can be booked for a day or evening event. The function rooms have a nice view of the 18th green and when encircling eucalyptus woods are lit up in the evening it is a pretty sight indeed.

Though close to the city centre its massive grounds ensure that the course is free from any kind traffic snarls or noise pollution
