With a rich collection of accessories and Tasmanian specialties, the Old Umbrella Shop is much more than a store as it offers to its visitors a shopping experience rich in heritage. The Old Umbrella shop had been a frequent haunt among the ladies of the age and even after a century, the shop stands to serve the shoppers today with a variety of umbrellas and other souvenirs. The shop is an 1860 construction and the old black wood structure is a fine example of the architecture of the period. In fact, the shop has been left unaltered since 1900 and is still preserved in the way it had initially been.
