The Redbank Winery, a famous Melbourne winery and a distinctly Australian kind, was established in 1973 in the Pyrenees region of Central Victoria, 2 hours northwest of Melbourne. It is named after the small town, Redbank, situated three kilometers to the north of Melbourne. The Redbank Winery, Melbourne was started and continues to be entirely owned and operated by Neill and Sally Robb.Neill and Sally Robb planted the first vines at Redbank Winery, Melbourne in 1973. This consisted of Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Cabernet Frank, Merlot and Malbec varieties. Today even after crossing three decades in wine business, the Redbank Winery continues to be listed among the best wineries in Melbourne.
The Redbank Winery has become kind of an institution among the wineries in Melbourne, thanks to the vision and hard work of the creator and operator of the winery. Today the area of vineyards at the Redbank Winery has grown to 45 acres of land, producing high quality grapes. The single non-irrigated vineyard of Sally Paddock, named after Neill's wife Sally, still continues to deliver a wine of wonderful complexity and depth. In 1975, Neill built the winery naming it the Redbank Winery, and a colonial style home, using local century old hand made red bricks. Today this has turned out to be a place with a splendid ambience where the visitors come to taste the wines
At the Redbank Winery the visitors are not only treated with tasteful wine but also with the delicious hand made dishes, at the Flying Pig Deli. This place is also a product of the creative ideas of Neil and the culinary skills of Sally. The menu here includes Neil's smoked lamb, ploughman's platter, specialty Chinese selections, espresso coffee and Sally's homemade cakes.

Sunday's: 10a.m. to 5p.m.
Lunch at the Flying Pig Deli is served between 11a.m. to 3 p.m. However the Espresso coffee and Sally's cakes are available all day.
