All the staffs of the National Student Media Conference (NSEMC) are volunteer coordinators under the age of 25. All of them have strong links with student media and youth organizations throughout Australia. The National Students Media Conference brings the student media producers, emerging media makers, editors, designers, artists, journalists and writers under a same roof, for learning, collaborating, skills sharing and networking. This continues for 5 days. However, the conference is open to all young people, who are interested in developing media, like,

- Film,
- Radio,
- TV,
- Print, or
- Web.

In this conference, delegates have come to know about social issues surrounding their works. Here they interact with media professionals and acquire insights into the political economy and social influences of their profession. The main purpose of this conference is to give emphasis on learning from this broader scope. These seminars cover a wide range of topics. Last year this held on September 28- October 2 in various sites of Newcastle. National Students Media Conference is a part of the (This Is Not Art) larger TINA festival. TINA is a national festival of media and Arts. Every year it takes place in Newcastle, Australia on the month of October. It has become one of the leading art festivals in Australia. This includes festivals like,
