The City of Perth is the capital city of Western Australia, the largest state of Australia. History - The City of Perth was founded by Captain James Stirling in 1829.

It was the part of the Swan River Colony, the first free settlement in Australia. The city was officially founded on 12 th August, 1829, by felling of a tree. Perth celebrated 175th anniversary of its foundation.
